On October 24th, we will be holding a workshop led by Izzeddin Hawamda at two times for time zones at 10am-12:30pm ET and 5pm-7:30pm ET. The registration link is hyperlinked on the sessions above. Both sessions are the same content but different times for our global audience, and the ticket price is $30 for the 2.5 hour session. This workshop will be interactive, include breaks, and provide opportunities to build relationships through meaningful dialogue. When we take time to reflect upon the stories, myths, and attachments that have shaped our identities, we begin to recognize the limits to our views of the world. We began to realize that our perspectives alone are incomplete. It is only through connecting with others and sharing stories that we can develop empathy and challenge those limitations. This workshop is designed out of a passion for the power of artistic expression and a desire to create space for meaningful story writing, sharing, and dialogue. Participants are provided with the opportunity to actively engage in thinking about their personal stories. AM Session: https://lnkd.in/g-VyQwCq PM Session: https://lnkd.in/gh7Dz2NG

A reflection on International Youth Day from our West Africa IPTI Alumn, Kadiatu Tholley Koroma: Clicks to Progress: A Poem for International Youth Day 2024 "In a world where screens light the night, Young hearts awaken, ready to take flight. Through clicks and connections, a journey begins, With digital pathways, let the progress spin. Voices strong, united we stand, Breaking silence, hand in hand. From the corners of cities to the fields so wide, Youth harnessing power, filled with pride. Innovate create, let your ideas take form, In this digital age, let your passions transform. Sustainable futures are built on your dreams, Together we'll flow like vibrant streams. From pixels of knowledge, we gather our strength, To tackle the challenges, to go the full length. For each click is a step on this shared, noble quest, Where caring for nature and people comes first. Empowered to lead, with compassion our guide, We’ll weave every culture into one vibrant tide. For justice and peace, we’ll raise up our voice, In the tapestry of change, let us all rejoice. So gather, young dreamers, your vision is clear, In the heart ofWith clicks to progress, let’s uplift the human race. Together we’ll rise, strengthen and inspire, Lighting the world with our collective fire. Embrace the future, let the journey unfold, For the youth are the stories that truly must be told. A reflection on International Youth Day from our West Africa IPTI Alumna: Melrose Tamuke, CEO: Sierra Leone Dream Alive Organization: "As we celebrate International Youth Day 2024 under the theme "From Click to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development," it is imperative that we recognize the pivotal role of the youth in driving innovation, progress, and sustainable development in Sierra Leone. The digital era presents unprecedented opportunities for young people to harness technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship to effect positive change in their communities and beyond. From leveraging digital platforms for education and skill development to using technology for advocacy and social impact, the youth have the power to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and development. As a motivational speaker, youth ambassador, peace ambassador, and women advocate, I call upon the youth of Sierra Leone to embrace digital pathways for sustainable development, to think innovatively, and to collaborate with one another and with the government to build a brighter future for our nation. To the government of Sierra Leone, I urge for continued support and investment in digital literacy, infrastructure, and entrepreneurship programs that empower young people to thrive in the digital age. Let us work together to create an enabling environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and sustainable development for all. On this International Youth Day, let us commit to harnessing the power of technology, from a simple click to meaningful progress, towards a more prosperous and inclusive future for Sierra Leone." #SierraLeone #womenpeacebuilders #MBBI #youthpeacebuilders #certifiedrelationshipcounsellor #50mostinfluentialwomen #Motivationalspeaker #Womenadvocate #YouthambassadorinSL #myskillmattersnotmybody
