Our Volunteer Orientation is coming up on October 19th at 10:00 AM at our facility in Indianapolis located at 6120 Allisonville Rd. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for all interests and skill levels: Facility Volunteers: Help with cleaning, dog enrichment, office tasks, and more. (Must be 18+). Fosters: Provide a temporary home for dogs awaiting adoption. Mutt Mentors: Foster service dog candidates and assist with their early training. Fundraising & Marketing: Support our events and spread the word about our mission. Whether you want to work hands-on with dogs, help at events, or support from behind the scenes, there’s a role for you. At Medical Mutts, we teach our dogs to pick up a strap so they can safely carry small medical bags without grabbing the bag itself. This helps protect fragile medical equipment or medication that may be inside. 🐾 Adoption Event This Saturday! 🐾 Join us Saturday, October 12th from 10 AM to Noon at our facility located at 6120 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46220, for our adoption event! We’ll have a wonderful selection of dogs that were chosen from rescues and shelters as potential service dogs but did not have the temperament required. These pups are now looking for loving pet homes! Meet Our Available Dogs: 🐶 Leo - A friendly, playful Goldendoodle mix, 3 years old, great with kids, cats, and other dogs! 🐶 Fried Pickles - An active 1.7-year-old shepherd mix who would love a family and a hiking buddy! 🐶 Blue Steele - A 2-year-old Golden Retriever mix who prefers to be the only pup but does well with cats. He’s available as a foster-to-adopt due to heartworm treatment. 🐶 Earl - A 2.5-year-old shepherd mix who loves active play and would do great with older kids and pets! 🐶 Lisa - A petite, playful lab mix, 1.5 years old. She’s outgoing and enjoys making new dog friends! 🐶 Cordelia - A 1-year-old lab mix who loves people and would thrive with another dog sibling. 🐶 Poppy - A 1-year-old shepherd mix who’s perfect for an adventurous, active family! 🐶 Dozer - A 30-pound beagle mix who is friendly with cats and small dogs. 🐶 Clifford - A 4-year-old, 80-pound mixed breed who prefers to be the only pet but is the perfect loyal companion! All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fees are $300, and each adoption includes 2 training sessions. Jenna is pretending to be busy when an alarm goes off, and Paris jumps into action! Without missing a beat, Paris immediately nudges Jenna’s arm and guides her straight to the source of the sound. Paris was sent to us by her owner for our Board & Train program, where she spent several months learning the skills needed to become a hearing alert dog. Now, after lots of hard work, she's ready to return home and assist her owner with everyday sounds! She would love a doggy sibling! - Poppy – 1-year-old Shepherd mix, 54 lbs, perfect jogging buddy, energetic and playful. Best with active dogs and older kids. - Simba – Young Lab mix, loves walks and water, great with dogs, cats, and kids. Ideal for an active family! - Dozer – Small Beagle mix, 30 lbs of fun! Great with small dogs, cats, and kids. Perfect for a smaller pet-friendly household! - Clifford – 4-year-old mixed breed, 80 lbs, the perfect solo companion.
