Executive Sales Specialist in Oncology at J&J | Founder of Medical Sales U - helping you advance your career in medical sales (both Device and Specialty Pharmaceuticals) | WSJ Best-selling author ✍️

Last week, one of our students at Medical Sales U accepted an incredible offer at $108,500 with a top medical device company. Her journey wasn’t easy—she faced ups and downs, even moving back with her parents and working at $19 an hour. But she put in the work, from learning to leverage LinkedIn to creating a customized brag book with a 30-60-90-day plan. Her dedication paid off, and now she’s set for a remarkable career trajectory. Another student, already earning six figures, is transitioning out of device sales. He’s now in talks with a leading cancer diagnostics company, with a total compensation package of over $200K. Our students are increasing their pay by an average of $60,000 in their first year. Once they’re in, the sky’s the limit. Medical Sales U is an investment at $3,600, where you’ll gain access to our exclusive course, small Monday night cohorts, and some Wednesday sessions for added support. I’ll personally mentor you through every step. This is your chance to accelerate your career in medical sales. Message me if you’re ready to make the leap.

I get it, hiring managers—you’re busy, inboxes overflowing. But let’s talk about ghosting. Yup, I know the feeling. It’s not fun, but here’s the thing—you never know when that ghost might come back to haunt you... in a good way. A few people who ghosted me? They came back later asking, "Hey, how did you land a top literary agent and land a six figure book deal?" or "How did you break into oncology pharmaceuticals?" Funny how life works, right? Right now, I have some amazing young leaders who’ve gone through Medical Sales U. They created customized business plans, networked with multiple employees in your company, aced interviews, and crafted that perfect 30-60-90 plan... and then, poof—you ghosted them. Sent a canned “moving forward with another candidate” email after weeks of silence. Here’s a tip: instead of ghosting, how about a quick, respectful response? A simple, "Hey, we’re going in a different direction," or even better, do it early. It’s classy, it’s professional, and it builds relationships. Because you never know—when my tenured oncology specialist considers jumping ship to your company, guess what conversation might come up? 😏 Be kind, be brief, be courteous. Let’s keep it human in the hiring process. #Hiring #Leadership #RespectInBusiness #MedicalSales #Oncology #Networking

If you've been laid off due to a company sell-off or reorganization, I understand what you're going through—and I can help. I've experienced this twice while working for two large pharmaceutical/medical device companies. Once, the company laid off 40% of the commercial team, myself included, even though I was in the top 20% and had earned two bonuses for a new product launch. Another time, the layoff was completely unexpected. Thankfully, I was able to quickly secure an internal position in a different division, which turned out to be a promotion. Through these experiences, I've learned why many seasoned pharmaceutical reps struggle to transition to new roles: 1. They rely too heavily on their "experience," assuming their past success and tenure will quickly land them a new job. 2. They stick to old habits and haven't learned how to leverage LinkedIn and AI to generate new leads efficiently. 3. They depend too much on past working relationships instead of tapping into new acquaintances and LinkedIn connections. 4. They approach virtual interviews unprepared, with poor camera setups and awkward presentations, fumbling through PowerPoint slides. 5. They aim for lateral moves instead of promotions. 6. They aren’t proactive in presenting their brag book to the hiring manager. 7. They rely on 1-2 contacts instead of networking with a wide range of colleagues within the company before the first interview. If you want to accelerate your career during a transition and ensure you get paid more, check out Medical Sales U. Our program provides the guidance you need, and our evening workshops will coach you every step of the way.

    Medical Device Sales Associate

I am excited to announce that I have started a new career as a Medical Device Sales Associate! It wasn’t an easy decision to leave tech/software sales where I have had nearly 7 years of experience and been the recipient of multiple awards, but after several months of soul searching and talking to current medical sales reps, I knew for sure it was the right move for me. That was made even more clear last week when I had the privilege of sitting in on two surgeries. I got to experience first hand the amazing work that surgeons to do heal patients. I also got to see the role that medical sales reps have in that process, ensuring surgeons have the best devices and instruments to perform these life-changing surgeries. This exciting new chapter wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable guidance and support of my friend Dave Sterrett. His mentorship has been instrumental in equipping me with the skills needed to break into and succeed in the exciting world of medical sales. I'm also incredibly grateful to the many people who took the time to speak with me and share their insights. Your advice and encouragement have been invaluable. Looking forward to connecting with more professionals in the medical device industry! #MedicalDeviceSales #NewJob #CareerChange
