Today, I engaged in a pressing discussion with The Marfan Foundation and StuffThatWorks leaders about #VEDS - a severe and life-threatening vascular rare condition. While subtype classifications for all EDS conditions may meet the needs of clinicians and researchers, the urgency and voices of patients are often overlooked. Unlike other #EDS subtypes, #VEDS poses a critical risk due to the delicate nature of blood vessels and organs, making it a ticking time bomb. Increasing awareness is key to enhancing first responder and ER care, ultimately saving lives!
