“Hard to heal” wounds. We are not familiar with that term. That’s because we approach wounds differently. We do not ask staff members to mix powders or pump patients full of fluids. We know both of those are challenging. We attack wounds with a wound-specific oral nutrition supplement (WS-ONS) called Expedite. It’s powered by two key ingredients: wound-specific collagen dipeptides prolyl-hydroxyproline (PO) and hydroxyprolyl glycine (OG) and the amino acid L-Citrulline. This means you get 30 times more PO and OG dipeptides than standard collagen products and enhanced nitric oxide (NO) production to support the healing process and improve healing time. Oh, and it’s only 2-ounces, once daily. The data is so compelling we just released a new clinical resource on the topic of these ingredients. Download it here -- https://lnkd.in/ezp-2Bsz

Today is the last exhibit day at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) fall conference in Las Vegas. We keep hearing from physicians across many specialties that they received very little training in medical school about nutrition. That seems to be changing. The amount of curiosity from physicians on the role of wound-specific oral nutrition is at an all time high and we are here for the ride. Expedite is a wound-specific oral nutritional supplement (WS-ONS) that takes direct action on the wound through a unique blend of L-Citrulline and dipeptides. The first day at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Fall conference went great. It is clear that customers who use oral nutritional supplements as part of their wound care protocol need a better solution than current powder-based products. We hear powders require more steps for their teams and patients cannot consume the high-volume requirements of 8oz twice daily. If you're in Las Vegas at the show, come and learn how less is more now in wound-specific oral nutritional supplementation with our Expedite portfolio. If you're not at the conference, you can learn more about Expedite here. https://lnkd.in/ezp-2Bsz #woundcare #nutrition HMP Global

L-citrulline is a more efficient way to drive nitric oxide production, which can support accelerated healing in wound care patients. L-citrulline is an amino acid that passes through the liver unchanged. It is converted into plasma arginine in the kidneys and then absorbed in the bloodstream to drive nitric oxide production. This is different than l-arginine alone, where 40% of it is lost during first-pass metabolism. Both of these amino acids aid in nitric oxide but l-citrulline may work smarter not harder to support the healing process. Expedite is a wound-specific oral nutritional supplement (WS-ONS) powered by L-citrulline to support accelerated healing. WS-ONS can help save time and money in long-term care. It's Malnutrition Awareness Week. Patients with wounds who are malnourished take longer to heal. It is important for patients to consume sufficient calories each day with an emphasis on protein. One 2-ounce bottle of Expedite/day provides additional support for wound healing with specific dipeptides called PO and OG plus citrulline. #nutrition #dietitian #malnutrition #wounds #woundcare #collagen #protein #diabetes #longtermcare American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) Medtrition, Inc.
