MEMA is closely monitoring the ongoing strike at East and Gulf Coast ports, which is causing significant disruptions to vehicle and parts imports. Our team is actively engaged with stakeholders and will provide regular updates to members via email and upcoming meetings. MEMA’s CEO, Bill Long, emphasized the potential severity of a prolonged strike: "If it continues, it’s going to be a disaster – shutting down plants, halting production lines, and causing layoffs."
