One of my favorite things in the world is witnessing women uplift one another. Last week, I had the privilege of attending a mentoring circle hosted by the MENA Women Product Managers Guild. The conversation was rich and diverse, spanning various industries and experience levels within product management. It was an awesome evening with amazing women from MENA Women Product Managers Guild. ❤️ Even though it was my first mentoring circle with this group, I instantly felt at ease to finally be with people who understand how much effort goes into building an awesome product that solves customer pain points and all the insider product jokes 😉. Women facing similar challenges in different industries and learning about diverse journeys that culminated to the same spot in time that we are in now. 🌟 Inspiring Night at the WPMG MENA Mentoring Circle! 🌟 Last night’s session was packed with insightful discussions! We shared personal journeys into product management, explored the challenges of balancing the product vs. project mindset, and emphasized the importance of validating customer needs before shipping. It was inspiring to hear how diverse backgrounds, like genetics, have led to careers in product management, and we also discussed the progress being made in closing the pay gap between men and women. Most of all, everyone shared a passion for using a product mindset to solve real customer pain points. 🙌 A massive shout-out to Meenakshee Behera, Shilpi Singh, and Kopila Shrestha for meticulously organizing such a fantastic session.
