Mercury Racing is proud to announce Carter Murphy of Kendallville, Indiana, as the recipient of the 2024 Mercury Racing Impact Institute Education Scholarship. A recent graduate of the Marine Service Program at Impact Institute in Kendallville, Murphy will receive a $1,500 scholarship to further his education at Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida. Led by instructor Ryan Ramsay, students at Impact Institute can complete Mercury University’s entry-level Marine Systems Technician Program and get hands-on training with a wide variety of Mercury Marine products. The Marine Marketers of America (MMA) recognized the new partnership between Mercury Racing and Powerboat P1 and F1 Powerboat with a 2023 Neptune Award in the Marketing Partnership category. The 2023 Mercury Racing Midwest Challenge brought these two powerboat race series together on the same weekend and in the same location for the first time ever, with more than 40 teams from around the world competing. The two-day event brought more than 43,000 people to South Pier on the shores of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to experience a weekend of unprecedented speed and exhilaration. Presented annually by the Marine Marketers of America, the Neptune Awards recognize the best marine marketing in North America.
