This week, the senior staff had a special cookout for the Mermet employees as a sign of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Each member of senior staff grilled burgers, hot dogs, and provided delicious sides to make the ultimate cookout lunch. Thanks again to our wonderful employees for all you do!

We are honored to be a part of such an incredible project!
Last week, we visited the site of Villa Esperanza Services newest addition to its Pasadena campus. The new facility, which will feature three additional classrooms, an Occupational Therapy clinic, and a Physical Education and Therapeutic Center, is expected to open to students in 2025. The phased project — designed by Pasadena-based Practice (formerly GGA+) — included a new school that opened in 2018. This next phase addresses limited capacity, outdated therapy and recreation spaces, and a disjointed layout of repurposed buildings. With support from partners Somfy North America and Mermet USA, Hunter Douglas Architectural will design and install a series of bottom-up motorized trapezoidal systems to cover two large triangular clerestories and motorized and manual RB 500+ shades in offices and classrooms. Villa School serves students with intellectual and developmental differences and provides complete services, including speech, occupational therapy, and behavioral therapy on-site.
