We recently had the honor of transporting Fire Chief Darrick Scott and his new K9 partner, Max, on a United Express flight to Houston. Chief Scott's previous K9 has retired, and Max, a 2-year-old English Labrador, is stepping up to the challenge. (What a good boy!) Max and Chief Scott have been working together for the past six months, and this was Max's first time flying! They are headed to Houston Where Max will become certified as an ignitable liquid detection K9. This certification will enable Max to locate the source of fires after they have been extinguished, a crucial role in fire investigations. Max will be one of only 40 K9s getting certified in Houston, and we are thrilled to support such an important mission.
