Since coming out of beta last fall, the game has consistently been the most played branded game on the platform month in and month out. Since the start of 2024, the experience has averaged 22.8 million monthly visits. Current metrics: - 294M lifetime visits - 14 minute avg session time - 88% user rating - 104K Roblox group members What will be the next brand to dominate Roblox? Well if past performance is any indicator, it will likely be IP based and come from the world of entertainment or gaming.     Skechers opened a new store in a shopping mall...in Roblox. Within the popular game Livetopia from Century Games, players can visit a virtual mall with a variety of stores, including one from Skechers. Skechers could have built their own experience in Roblox, but instead opted to integrate into Livetopia. This makes sense given how much traffic Livetopia gets on a regular basis. The Livetopia experience has impressive stats: - 4.4 billion lifetime visits - 1 - 2 million daily visits - 13 minute avg session time - 90% user rating Other brands that have shown up in Livetopia integrations include L'Oréal, Visa, Lunchables and AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS INC.     The National Basketball Association (NBA) has a shop in Roblox NBA Avatar Catalog is a Roblox experience where players can customize their avatar with NBA gear from various teams while shooting hoops, completing quests, and earning badges. Think of it as a gamified, interactive store where players can try on and purchase NBA gear with Robux, Roblox's in-game currency. NBA Avatar Catalog stats: - 770k lifetime visits - 96% user rating - 5.8 min avg session length Players are not featured in the experience because this experience comes from the league. It would be cool if the league and player's association were able to work together on a joint experience. The experience has offered free UGC virtual items to attract players. Another brand to release a gamified shopping experience recently is adidas Other sports leagues in Roblox include the National Hockey League (NHL), National Football League (NFL), NASCAR. In “Munchland,” made by PlayPals Studio, players can access exclusive merchandise, build pizzas for friends, blast NYC rats with fart guns, and choose art to spray paint on Munchland’s virtual walls. Within the first two days, the experience has attracted... 140K visits 3-min avg session length Other music artists who have shown up on Roblox include Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Elton John, Metallica and Cher. Why are musicians like Ice Spice coming to Roblox? Because the platform has 77M+ daily active users who are young, hard to reach on other platforms, and who spend about 2.5 hours on Roblox per day.     Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 is now in Fortnite. From May 25th-June 23rd, players can meet Inside Out 2’s newest emotion-based characters in the Fortnite map "Obby But You’re on a Bike HD.” By succeeding playing through the branded course, players can unlock avatar customization rewards like branded hats and trails. Thanks to the deal between The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games, we will likely see more activity like this moving forward.     Roblox just launched video ads (as a test) on their platform. Here's why this is huge, and what I'm noticing... 💰 Ad Revenue By offering video ads (instead of just static image billboards), Roblox is able to charge advertisers higher CPM rates, much like YouTube or TikTok 📈 2024 Revenue Priority Launching video ads in Q4 '23 keeps Roblox on track to scale advertising revenue in 2024, which was a key pillar of their growth story outlined by CFO Michael Guthrie and Chief Partnerships Officer Christina Wootton at the company's recent Investor Day 👀 Deeper Ad Engagement This is a win for brands who want to reach Roblox's 70M DAUs with the power of video, which can capture audience attention more effectively than static imagery 🗣️ Brand Awareness, Not Direct Response...Yet Video ads are good at raising top of funnel awareness, but marketers won't be able to attribute sales from these impressions until Roblox enables real-world commerce, which they will start testing in H2 2024 🎥 Premium Production Value As the Aquaman trailer below from Warner Bros.
