Internet infrastructure for the enterprise.
About us
Meter provides internet infrastructure for businesses. Headquartered in San Francisco, we were founded in 2015 to build enterprise-grade networks that are faster, more accessible, and more secure. Our full-stack approach combines hardware, software, and operations so that any company can seamlessly run on a reliable and modern network. We believe the internet is a fundamental utility that businesses should be able to turn on as easily as water and electricity. Our team includes people who have helped scale successful companies and recent graduates who are eager to learn and build. We’re looking for people who are excited to work on interesting problems, enjoy learning from and helping each other, and above all, are kind and ambitious. We’re building for the long term, and we’re just getting started.

We’re proud to power Switchyards’ neighborhood work clubs, keeping thousands of guests across multiple locations connected and productive with fast, secure, and reliable internet. “With Meter handling all of our networking and related service needs, the rest of my team and I can get back to focusing on how Switchyards made our name, creating the best member experience possible. Having Meter as an extension of our team is what makes that possible for Switchyards,” said Launch Lead, Kayla Gottschalk. Anil Varanasi and Scott Robohn discuss all things automation on the latest episode of Packet Pushers' Total Network Operations. Listen in for a deep dive on Meter Command, our motivations for building it, and why we’re committed to making networking better than it is today. “With Command, you're actually looking at real time data," said Anil. "It’s not a frozen corpus of information from six months ago or 12 months ago. And underneath that data pipeline is our operating systems and our firmware, all created with the eye towards how can we build better hardware and software for networking teams.” https://lnkd.in/gWv7qCrv

We spoke with Anil from Meter to delve into how an internet infrastructure company managed to ship one of the more ambitious, thoughtful uses of AI interfaces we've seen. It turned into a surprisingly wide-ranging conversation about why we aren't seeing more AI design explorations in software, the problem of "persona building" in enterprise product development, how you have to be a full stack org if you want to be early, and one thing we would work on now if we could.

Network management has grown more complex as companies handle more devices with fewer resources. This imbalance drives the need for solutions that streamline operations, making platforms like Meter's network-as-a-service increasingly essential. 🚀 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gqJRi3Nq According to Anil Varanasi, founder and CEO of Meter, one of their latest innovations, Meter Command, simplifies network complexity through natural language processing. By integrating features like intuitive control and real-time collaboration, IT teams can now easily manage infrastructure without navigating cumbersome command-line interfaces or dashboards. "Command makes it incredibly easy to get information about anything across your network infrastructure,” Varanasi explained to theCUBE Research’s Bob Laliberte during an #AnalystANGLE segment. “You just say what you need, and it takes action for you.” Ready to streamline your network operations?
