🚀 Excited to kick off the 24-25 Community Schools Cohort with Clayton County Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, Forsyth County Schools, and the International Community School this week! 🌟 These districts and their 10 schools are leading the charge in implementing the Community School Strategy, turning schools into hubs where educators, local communities, families, and students unite to enhance learning and support healthy development. Together, they’re creating a network of resources and opportunities that help our young people thrive. 🎓💪 As we celebrate National Community School Coordinators Week from September 15-21, we’re thrilled to honor these incredible change-makers in our metro Atlanta schools. 🎉👏 #CommunitySchools #CoordinatorsRock #NationalCommunitySchoolCoordinatorsWeek #StudentSuccess Forsyth County Schools (Georgia) Fulton County Schools @ccpsnews Granville T. Many thanks to Find Your Grind, our meeting sponsor, for sharing the engaging student curriculum and making our meeting time together an enjoyable experience for all! We had a full house at Metro RESA yesterday. Educators from across the metro came to learn and be empowered to host their own family mathematics night in their schools and districts. Each participant left with a complete kit to replicate the fun and joy of mathematics within their own communities. We can’t wait to see the ripple impact of this work! Make sure to tag us when you host your own mathematics night! We know it is going to be amazing.
Always gratifying when you feel like hard work, passion, and the right work leads to impact! Today, I collaborated with 4 fabulous leaders to spread the joy of family math festivals to 60 Atlanta-area educators. We finished with having participants create action plans to act on their learning experiences today, which was the BEST part. Our communities are better off now because of the work we did together today!
