Last week, our Kashmere Bus Operating Facility officially reopened for revenue service! 🎉 Throughout the past four years, Kashmere remained a home to dedicated team, even as operations were consolidated due to the pandemic. As demand rebounded, METRO got to work, hiring new bus operators and mechanics and making repairs. Now this historic facility, built in 1982, is once again a vital part of keeping Houston moving.

✨ Today, we honor Rosa Parks—a trailblazer in the fight for equality and justice. Her courageous stand in 1955 ignited a movement that still inspires today. As the winter storm hit the region, METRO Police officers worked around the clock to ensure the safety of the community. Even as service was temporarily impacted, MPD remained on the front lines, providing aid wherever needed. Thank you to our officers for their commitment to making the community safer, no matter the weather! ❄️💙

Meet our MPD C.A.R.E. Team clinicians! 🤩 These experienced social workers partner with MPD to support those in need, connecting them to essential services like health care, meals, shelter, and more. During the last freeze, our clinicians and MPD officers were out in the community, ensuring help reached those who need it most. The team is already planning their outreach efforts ahead of next week's winter storm.
