What a night!✨ We are definitely feeling the GOTR magic after an unforgettable evening with our coaches, board members, and local partners at our Mid-Season Celebration! The GOTR Richmond family is truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to connect with and honor the amazing people spreading joy and confidence across the community this fall. Special thanks to Triple Crossing Brewing Company for hosting us, and to our event sponsors: Nicole Frost, FIC and Brandefy App. Plus, shoutout to our partners Virginia Women's Center and MH Boxes for joining the celebration! We’re excited and ready to finish the fall season STRONG!💪

Last Friday, I was incredibly honored to be recognized by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities at the Prejudice Awareness Summit for my work with MH Boxes. I started MH Boxes when I was 12, inspired by my own mental health journey. I wanted to create something that would support Black girls like me who might be struggling with their mental health but don’t always have access to the tools they need. Each mental health toolbox I deliver is filled with items that have helped me practice self-care and resilience. My goal is to let girls know it’s okay to not be okay—and that they are never alone on this journey. I’m grateful to the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities for recognizing this work, and I’m even more motivated to keep building a community of peer support for young Black girls. Thank you for celebrating this moment with me! #MHBoxes #MentalHealthMatters #BlackGirlsMatter #InclusiveCommunities #Resilience #YouthLeadership #SelfCareMatters
