Now Available! MHEDA’s Q3 Economic Advisory Report, published by ITR Economics Here are a few key insights: Annual US Material Handling Equipment New Orders have declined 1.0% from a tentative February 2024 peak but are still above the year ago level. Adjusted for inflation, New Orders have been trending around or just below year-ago levels since early last year. ITR has revised the forecast for US E-Commerce Retail Sales following a data revision that was issued by the US Census Bureau. The outlook has been lifted by 0.8% for 2024, lowered by 0.9% for 2025, and lifted by 2.3% for 2026. Downside pressures will linger this year. This is a good time to reevaluate your competitive advantages and improve upon strategies to capitalize on the relatively strong macroeconomy expected in 2025 and 2026.
