About us
The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) is a seven-member authority established by state ordinance in 1967 and appointed by the City of Miami Beach Commission, with the goal of encouraging, developing and promoting the image of Miami Beach by utilizing public relations locally, nationally and internationally to showcase the city as a vibrant community and superb tourist destination. The MBVCA’s mission is to proactively recruit, develop, and financially support and partner with events, festivals, programs and activities. The MBVCA awards over $1 million each year through its various grant programs, focusing on its core initiatives of Cultural Tourism; Customer Service; Design and Architecture; Entertainment and Nightlife; Festivals; Film and Fashion; Gay/Lesbian; Group Stimulus; Health and Wellness; Promotional Campaigns; Television Origination; Wine and Food. Through these grants, the MBVCA’s ultimate goal is to enhance and augment the reputation of Miami Beach and the experience for tourists, year-round and significantly impact our local hospitality and culinary business.
