The Miami-Dade TPO Governing Board adopted the SMART M.A.P. (Mobility. Accessibility. Prosperity.) 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)! The 2050 LRTP represents a 25-year long-range planning horizon to provide for the integrated development, management, and operations of a safe, equitable, and effective multi-modal transportation network for Miami-Dade County. The 2050 LRTP is strategic and comprehensive in identifying transit, highway, freight, and non-motorized transportation improvements to address mobility, safety, security, resiliency, and emerging technologies, while also considering cost feasibility for the County’s existing and future transportation infrastructure needs. It was an honor to participate in this technical peer exchange and share Best Practices in #transportation #infrastructure, #innovation and #mobility. Across borders we all share similar challenges serving our constituents and the traveling public. I’m inspired by my European colleagues and their solution-oriented approaches. As we plan for the future, let’s continue engaging in critical conversations for the advancement of safe, sustainable, and resilient transportation networks. #MiamiSMARTProgram #TechnologyIntegration METREX - The Network of European Metropolitan Regions and Areas Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization National Association of Regional Councils Gianina Panatau Jakub Mazur
