October is National Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Awareness Month! With Americans spending 90% of their time indoors, the quality of indoor air plays a crucial role in our health and well-being. Poor IAQ can lead to allergies, respiratory issues, and other health concerns, even contributing to absenteeism in workplaces and schools. In contrast, clean indoor air promotes better health, productivity, and overall quality of life. Recently, Price Industries launched a research project to achieve two key objectives: 1. Quantify the effectiveness of various HVAC strategies in reducing airborne particulate levels. 2. Refine the methodology for testing indoor air quality. Their findings were published in the ASHRAE Journal, and they offer valuable insights into improving IAQ standards.
