Marketing and Community Health Professional with a Background from George Mason University
I am excited to announce that I graduated from George Mason University with a double major in Community Health and Business with a concentration in Marketing 🎓! Reflecting on the past five years, I’m incredibly grateful for the diverse experiences that have contributed to my personal and professional growth. One of my most rewarding experiences was completing my internships that provided valuable hands-on learning opportunities: 💼 During my third year, I interned at eSentio Technologies, a consulting firm specializing in IT solutions for law firms. As my first internship, this role gave me the confidence to dive into the world of business and marketing. I coordinated internal and external marketing events, created newsletters, and managed budgets. This experience not only improved my skills in marketing but also taught me the importance of project management. 💼 While in my fourth year, I had the opportunity to intern at MicroHealth LLC, a health IT company. I supported marketing campaigns, managed the employee perks program, and helped strengthen the company’s social media presence. Through MicroHealth University, I gained new skills and refined others. It was also a great opportunity to work closely with an incredible team of coworkers, whose support made the experience even more enjoyable. 💼 In my final year, I interned at Born 2 Dance, a local dance studio. This was such a unique experience as it allowed me to work for a small business while being surrounded by the world of dance. I applied my marketing knowledge by managing and creating email campaigns and boosting the studio’s social media presence. It was a truly rewarding experience that strengthened my ability to drive engagement through digital strategies. As my last internship before graduating, it was a meaningful way to wrap up my college journey. Beyond my internships, I was actively involved in various organizations. During my final year, I took on the role of Director for Tu Bhi Nachle, a nonprofit collegiate Bollywood fusion dance competition. Over the course of 8 months, I led a team of 50 board members and volunteers, coordinated 200 competitors, and welcomed 300 attendees. I also volunteered at the Fairfax Humane Society, where I assisted with animal care. It was a great break from school, allowing me to give back to the community while spending time with animals. These experiences provided me with invaluable leadership, event management, and community engagement skills that I will carry forward in my professional journey. I am beyond grateful to my professors, mentors, and peers for their constant support throughout my academic journey. As I take my next steps, I am eager to continue learning, growing, and pursuing new professional challenges! #GMUGrad #Classof2024
