Hello! My name is McKenna Burns and I am the Public Relations Assistant for the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. The Life Hack I will be discussing that I use to support my wellbeing is Life Hack #66, Create a Bedtime Routine. This life hack supports my wellbeing because I am able to reduce stress for my future self. For me, a bedtime routine looks something like decompressing from the previous full day, and preparing for the next day, reducing future stress by doing tasks like making my lunch for the next day, picking out what clothes I am wearing, and preparing for relaxation overnight, creates a flow and a good routine that I can follow. So the next time you need some support around reducing stress, or trying to unwind and or keep up with your busy schedule, try creating a routine at night to help your night into morning flow smoothly. Cheers and thanks for listening to how I use Life Hack #66 for my daily wellbeing!! :) https://lnkd.in/gdk32Zjz View Full Video From McKenna and all Life Hacks Here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gReCpTFB 🧡💚 #lifehackinaction #midlandareawellbeingcoalition #midlandareawellbeing #wellbeing #mawc #wellbeinginmidland

About us
The Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition is comprised of over 120 members of the Midland community who are working to help the Midland community achieve its vision: Together. Forward. Bold. An exceptional place where everyone thrives. The Coalition’s specific vision is that Midland is a healthy community where everyone belongs, feels safe, and thrives. Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition’s work is based on the science of positive psychology. Positive psychology is the scientific study of human flourishing. Positive psychology is operationalized through six key components of wellbeing which include: positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, accomplishment, and health. The Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition works to measure, monitor, and care for wellbeing through a systems lens by increasing wellbeing capability, confidence, and impact at multiple levels -the me, we, and us levels-- simultaneously. The coalition uses sound science and evidenced-based approaches to help individuals, teams, families, and organizations learn a wellbeing language that changes conversations and builds a skills toolbox which changes behaviors. The coalition's theory of change is when social-emotional leaders learn wellbeing science, their lives improve. When their lives improve, then the lives of the people on their work teams, in their families and community improve too.

Hi, I'm Tina Queary, Training Specialist for Discover You and a member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is, "Is there any word more powerful than giving? Thanksgiving. Forgiving. Care-giving. Life-giving. Everything that matters in living coming down to giving." by author Ann Voskamp. The reason I find this quote so meaningful is it gets to the heart of the things that have impact and touch us in a special way. It really hits home if you think about it. This quote supports my wellbeing because it reminds me of the power of giving and how it is a two-way street. When we think we are giving to others, what we usually find is it has impacted us as well as and maybe even more deeply than the other person. So, how has an act of giving made an impact on you? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Have a Great Day and Live Inspired. 🧡💚 View our full list of Quotes to Live By Here! https://lnkd.in/ga_eW_hN #quotetoliveby #wellbeing #mawc #midlandareawellbeing #midlandareawellbeingcoalition

Hi, I'm Camille Gerace Nitschky, and today I’m taking you on a mindfulness walk, helping you stay present while moving. Walking is something we often do without thinking, but if you're able to walk today, add that to your gratitude list—it’s something to be thankful for. We live in a busy world, filled with chaos, technology, and distractions. So why practice mindful walking? It helps us step out of the whirlwind of future worries and past regrets, grounding us in the present moment. To start, you can combine walking with breathwork, like squared breathing. Inhale for three counts, hold for three, exhale for three, and hold again for three. It’s a simple way to center yourself as you move. You might want to try this before you begin your mindfulness walk. As you walk, slow down and focus on the sensations in your feet. Feel your heel, arch, and toes touch the ground, one step at a time. Notice the colors around you, the crisp air on your skin, the smells of fall—engage all your senses. Being in the present moment with each step keeps you from worrying about what's ahead or behind. It’s about being right here, right now. If you get a chance today, find a quiet spot for some mindful walking. When you’re done, take a moment to sit and notice how different you feel. Thanks for walking with me today. https://lnkd.in/gM2vEJ77 View Full Video From Camille and all Life Hacks Here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gReCpTFB 🧡💚 #lifehackinaction #midlandareawellbeingcoalition #midlandareawellbeing #wellbeing #mawc #wellbeinginmidland

Hi, I'm Amy Jaster, full time lecturer at Delta College and a member of The Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that motivates me is, "The way we do anything is the way we do everything," by Martha Beck. The reason I find this quote so motivating is that it reminds me to always give 150% of my efforts to anything and everything I do. Whether it's a workout, preparing to teach, or simply showing up for others... it's vital that we, "practice how we play," by giving it our alI. It doesn't mean we're perfect at everything we do, but that the real magic is in the effort. This quote supports my wellbeing by aligning my strengths with my actions furthering my engagement with others. I want others to know that I will always give 150% of my effort(s) to/for them. So, how do you "show up?" Practice? Do you intentionally give your "everything? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Wishing you joy 🤩 ! 🧡💚 View our full list of Quotes to Live By Here! https://lnkd.in/ga_eW_hN #quotetoliveby #wellbeing #mawc #midlandareawellbeing #midlandareawellbeingcoalition

Hi, I’m Emily Migut. I work at the Dow Credit Union and work for and am a member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. I am excited to share with you Life Hack #55, the Power of Laughter. I love the power of laughter because it's such a simple yet powerful way to bring joy to your life. When you think of a time when you laughed so hard with friends or family, doesn't it instantly make you smile? Those moments are precious, and laughter has a way of lifting your spirits, even when you're feeling down or stressed. It's contagious—just like how negativity can spread, laughter can spread too, and it can turn your whole day around. Personally, when I'm nervous or have to do something like speak in front of a group, I use humor to calm myself down. I imagine something funny, and by the time I get on stage, I'm more at ease because laughter helps me connect with people. It's hard to stay mad when you're laughing, right? Laughter not only helps relieve stress but also strengthens bonds with others. If you want to try the life hack of laughter, start by sharing a funny story or joke with a group. It can be something silly or embarrassing that happened to you—everyone will laugh, and you'll create a moment that they'll remember and talk about later. It's a great way to start the day on a positive note and feel more connected with the people around you. https://lnkd.in/gcdByS9S View Full Video From Emily and all Life Hacks Here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gReCpTFB 🧡💚 #lifehackinaction #midlandareawellbeingcoalition #midlandareawellbeing #wellbeing #mawc #wellbeinginmidland
