Congrats to Chelsea Phillips Renfro, our Education Committee Co-Chair, on this accomplishment!
I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting at the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) Annual Meeting this October at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN! On Monday, October 7th, I’ll be part of a panel discussing with fellow Tennessee based specialty pharmacists to share our insights on local or regional factors that impact our specialty pharmacy practice. Then, on Tuesday, October 8th, I’ll join a group of pharmacists from the Intervention Subcommittee of the NASP Clinical Outcomes Committee to discuss the development of NASP recommendations for defining interventions and sharing best practices for how specialty pharmacies can effectively document, measure, and report these critical interventions. I have had the pleasure of working with this Subcommittee for almost a year now, and I am so proud of all of their hard work! I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues and meeting new specialty pharmacists! I hope to see you there as we share insights and advance the practice of specialty pharmacy!

The opportunity to learn about the various roles that pharmacists play within the pharmaceutical industry is invaluable, and it’s great that one of our students was able to network and connect with colleagues from across the nation. It's clear that this experience has had a significant impact, and I'm so glad that one of our students had a chance to participate. Thank you, Asia, for sharing your experience, and kudos to LEO Pharma for hosting such a fantastic event!
PharmD Candidate at Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy | Class of 2026 Aspiring Managed Care Pharmacist
Last week, I had the honor and pleasure to represent the Mid-South AMCP Affiliate at the LEO Pharma Shadowing Day. This experience allowed me to learn more about the various roles that pharmacists have within the pharmaceutical industry including market access, drug development, and medical affairs to name a few. I was able to meet amazing colleagues who represented their AMCP affiliate chapter from across the nation as well as pharmacists. I enjoyed networking and connecting with individuals who share the same interests as me and learning about them outside of pharmacy. This experience is truly one I will never forget and I’m eternally grateful. Thank you LEO Pharma for hosting this amazing experience!
