This session will cover understanding what persuades people, presence, logic, and emotions in persuasion, how data enhances persuasion, and helping decision makers persuade themselves. Presenter: Dr. Bill Brantley Dr. Bill Brantley is the president and chief learning officer of Brantley Advanced Social Science Applications (BAS2A). He is a certified project management professional, an agile project manager, an accredited business analyst professional, and certified in disciplined agile project management. Dr. Brantley is also a certified professional in talent development, and training management, and a certified data scientist. This year's Sizzling Summer Series will be a continuation of last year's theme. This session will cover best practices for data visualizations for storytelling, tips for accessibility, audience segmentation and tailoring content, and promoting and communicating with a data visualization. Presenter: Caroline Hoffman, MPH Caroline Hoffman, MPH, has worked in the health communications field for more than 10 years. She is currently the environmental health communications manager at the Rhode Island Department of Health. Her work focuses on helping subject matter experts create and disseminate meaningful communications materials with actionable calls-to-action. The University of Iowa College of Public Health Prevention Research Center for Rural Health (PRC-RH) and MPHTC invite you to be a part of the latest installment in the "Conversations on Health Equity Research and Practice" webinar series on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. CT. The conversation, “Exploring successful aging among Alaska Native Elders through a qualitative community-based participatory research approach," will be with Dr. Lena Thompson, a University of Iowa College of Public Health alumnus of the Department of Community and Behavioral Health.
