  • Meet Brian Brown a Senior Project Manager at Midwest Mole! Brian's primary responsibility is overseeing the operations of our directional drill division. He has been able to create some good relationships/friendships with some of our customers while improving the lives of our communities. He started working at Midwest Mole in May of 2015. Brian had known about Midwest Mole for many years and always thought he had an idea as to what they did; however, after starting here he realized his understanding was at an elementary level. Brian wanted to be challenged in a new area, and this was the place to do that. Brian enjoys the people he works with make what he does at Midwest Mole the most enjoyable. While our goal is to do the same thing every day (put pipe in the ground) each day is different and reveals unique challenges. He has stayed with Midwest Mole because of what he does and the folks he gets to do it with make job rewarding. The family atmosphere. While we continue to grow, he hopes that we don’t lose this aspect as it is rare, at least in his experience. Brian does not have a single project that stands out as a favorite, but would say is that when a job encounters problematic issues, the way our Superintendents, Foreman, shop, laborers, and operators all work together for a common goal and nothing will stand in their way of success. Knowing that no one does it by themselves and it is a team effort is exciting. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in CrossFit, especially when he can get his family to participate with him. He enjoys watching his kids participate in things they enjoy. In April of this year his wife, Kim will be celebrating their 20th anniversary. They have 3 kids; Gabrielle-17, Lynley-15, Austin-10. Brian's advice, "You aren’t in the trenches by yourself. The team at Midwest Mole is very knowledgeable and respected in the industry and are willing to help you grow. "

  • Last week two of our Moles went to Eastern Hancock Schools' Café Luncheon, where they had to opportunity to discuss our Work-Based Learning program. Huge shout out to Jason Smith, our trainer, and Corey Leece, one of our students, who participated in a panel to talk about the program and its progress so far. We’ve been partnered with Eastern Hancock High School for just over a year now, and in that time, we’ve brought on five students to learn about our company. The program has been going great, and Jason Smith has done an excellent job in educating these students about our company, our values, and what it means to be a part of the Mole team. We’re excited about the potential of these students and the opportunity to prepare them for a career with us. #EasternHancockSchools #Royals #WorkBasedLearning #Students #Community #MWM #Mole #MudandtheBlood
