Today's Mighty Question: What's one piece of advice you'd give a new joiner? Our simplified advice: Leave your ego at the door; Be patient with yourself; Embrace the learning phase; Try not to take things personally, especially in remote work; Always ask for feedback; Find your work confidant; Be willing to try things in different ways; Get to know as many people as you can; Have realistic expectations; Ask a lot of questions - especially the 'dumb' ones; Vulnerability is a superpower; Always raise your hand to give new things a try. This led to a great conversation about mindset and practices to lean on when starting something new. Today's Mighty Question: What's your favorite smell? A few of our favorites: Coppertone; 'after rain' smell aka petrichor; my dog; everything Christmas; boat docks; oranges in the shower (don't knock it till you try it); the sea; peaches from home in Georgia; sandalwood; library books; a Spiritus Sancti incense candle. Scent is closely linked to the memory, emotion and learning centers of the brain. We noticed that by simply talking about scents, we set the tone for a focused and interesting meeting. Try this one out with your team! Follow us for new Mighty questions every week ⚡ https://lnkd.in/e8yY5XqD

Today's Mighty Question: How many people or pets live in your household? Our roommate roster: 4 babies, 2 grandparents, 3 bats, multiple rabbits and a coyote (this is a packed house); Frankie the doodle and Robert the hairless cat; Dezi the cavapoo; Frank the dachshund; Astro the beta fish; Finan the mini Australian Shepard. There are partners in this mix as well, but the conversation ended up skewing towards pets. They're just so darn cute. We love this question to break the ice and learn a bit more about your teammate's life outside of work. Highly encourage you to try it too! 🐶 Follow us for more Mighty questions every Monday https://lnkd.in/e8yY5XqD

Today's Mighty Question: What is your go-to work snack? What we're snacking on: Have to give us 'health & wellness' credit.. a lot of our go-to snacks consist of nut and dried fruit mixes, veggies and hummus, and chip alternatives like toasted rice cakes and dried seaweed. If we're feeling fun, other favorites include Slim Jims, Goldfish, Cheeze-Its, potato chips, pickles, fig bars, and all types of cheese. We hope this inspired your weekly snacking 🧀 and to ask your teammates the same! Follow us for more Mighty questions every Monday https://lnkd.in/e8yY5XqD

Today's Mighty Question: What emerging trend excites you the most? A few things we're excited about: the changing tides of pop music with artists like Chappell Roan, Charlie XCX and Sabrina Carpenter; the emphasis on lymphatic health; food technology development and innovation (lab grown meats anyone?!); self driving cars and self operated machines that clean the ocean; taking care of your gut health. Having conversations about cultural trends outside of your work can help create a solid culture within your team! Not only is this a great topic for discussion, it can shed light on things that your people find interesting and important. As always, follow us for more Mighty questions to try out with your team ⚡ https://lnkd.in/e8yY5XqD
