As technical staffing continues to transition, the need to train new personnel in all facets of production becomes even more essential. We recently hosted a Mosaic Processing & Controls training session for representatives from five different customers. And, although this particular three-day session was held at our Southwest Ohio headquarters facility, we can also conduct training in the comfort of your own manufacturing operations facility, where your associates feel most at home on the equipment they work with every day. It’s back-to-school season, and we couldn’t be more eager to kick off our second year of the Milacron Advanced Manufacturing Academy at Grant Career Center! The program was designed to create an employee pipeline, offering students the opportunity to secure future employment in plastics processing here at Milacron after a school year of work-based learning. This year’s curriculum includes more hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, the addition of another injection molding machine to the lab space, and a new instructor - Milacron Product Support Specialist, Rodney Hayslip. Independence Day at Milacron India's Ahmedabad manufacturing facility was a vibrant celebration of our shared journey toward a Viksit Bharat. Our employees came together in a colorful display of unity, proudly adorning the tricolor to mark the occasion. The celebrations were filled with engaging activities, starting with a Poster-Making competition. There, creativity and patriotism intertwined as participants expressed their visions for a developed India. The energy didn't stop there—our team embraced the festive spirit with tricolor tattoos and lively slogan-making activities that echoed our collective aspirations. A highlight of the celebration was the keynote address by Mr. Bill Shukla, Managing Director, Milacron India. He underscored our pivotal role in driving innovation and progress within our industry in his address. The Milacron team in Mexico, alongside our Hillenbrand operating company counterparts, Mold-Masters Latinoamérica and DME Company, are currently collaborating on a Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) project called “Recycling to Give Life.” This initiative collects plastic caps that are repurposed into everyday household goods like cups, flowerpots, garden chairs, outdoor pet houses, and much more. The funds raised from the sale of these items are then donated to AMANC Asociación Mexicana de ayuda a niños con cáncer IAP (AMANC Querétaro – the Mexican Association of Help for Children with Cancer, I.A.P. ), whose mission is to help local children and teens struggling with cancer. The recent campaign collected 27 kilograms (60 pounds) of plastic caps for recycling! This outstanding effort recently came full circle for members of the team when several of them had the chance to visit with a few of the kids (and families) benefitting from the program.
