Another informative event hosted by AFCEA NOVA. Kenneth McNeill answered all questions and emphasized the importance his office places on engaging with industry. My top 10 take-aways:
1️⃣ The National Guard CIO (J-6) office serves/oversees the Army and Air Force National Guards (A-6 & G-6). The J-6 is the office to engage for procurement opportunities.
2️⃣ The National Guard Bureau serves under Title 10 (under federal authority) and Title 32 (under state authority).
3️⃣ 93% of guard members do NOT have government-issued phones for virtual communications -- a small business helped solve this comms concern.
4️⃣ Project Homeland - 🔍
5️⃣ Establishing a Chief Data Officer (CDO) to react at the speed of relevancy.
6️⃣ A revised version of the agency's Strategic Plan will be published soon.
7️⃣ Interested in RPA to maximize effectiveness of their small staff.
8️⃣ If you have a good idea that is determined to be a gamechanger, the money will be found.
9️⃣ Industry: know Ken Flowers Jr and ensure Ken Flowers knows you. 🤝
🔟 Top 3 priorities: Data / Data Centers; Zero Trust; Cybersecurity
Thank you, Dianna Black, and team for another great event! 🙏🎉 Mild Red LLC is a proud sponsor for the chapter's Small Business Breakfast Series!
