Million Meal Movement

During the month of September, we had the opportunity to partner with six Indiana University Health locations as a part of their September Month of Service. The Muncie, Morgan, Downtown Indianapolis, West, Fort Wayne, and Lafayette locations each hosted a pack with Million Meal Movement, bringing their employees together to serve Hoosiers experiencing hunger. Together, they packed 50,544 meals that all went back into the respective communities they were packed in. Thank you IU Health for working with us to end hunger at home and help our neighbors! We are so grateful to have so many amazing #communitypartners who support our mission! 👏 💜

We could not impact hunger in Indiana without the valuable community partners we work with each day. For this Fighting Hunger Friday, we would like to highlight one of our newest partnerships with ITOWN Church in Fishers, Indiana. In July of this year, we started to help ITOWN Church in their work to address hunger by providing boxes of food to students at 38 schools every two weeks. Each month, we are able to give over 9,000 meals to ITOWN which they then pack and distribute into the community. We are so grateful for ITOWN's work to fight hunger at home alongside the hundreds of other schools, businesses, and organizations that pack with us each year. Last month, we visited our wonderful friends at Oak Street Funding, where they took time to help feed their neighbors. They did not want their picture taken, But that's not how we roll at MMM. We want everyone to see how a small team can make a big difference in the community. Thank you.

It has been five months since we held the first 24-hour NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Over 5,000 volunteers packed 1 million meals, which went to Food Banks and pantries all over Indiana.
