“I’m more mentally exhausted than I feel like I’ve been in quite awhile,” Vanessa Cameron told The Wall Street Journal. This is an outcome of #diversity and #inclusion — without #equity. The WSJ reported that as more women are entering the American workforce, they are increasingly working two full-time jobs: their careers and their households. While women may have a seat at the table, the culture and support systems that enable them to live balanced and fulfilling work lives is still not there. Women also continue to earn less than men in the same jobs, bear the brunt of caregiving due to gendered norms and treatment, and as a result, face disparate #mentalhealth outcomes.
