This position exists to provide educational leadership, program development, training, consultation, and resources to support school leaders, teachers, and student support staff which will result in schoolwide implementation of evidence-based social and emotional leading to better student academic outcomes and improve conditions for learning. A priority is to build the capacity of schools in the design, selection and/or development of appropriate evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) policies, frameworks, instructional content, teaching methods, professional development, and assessment of schoolwide implementation as a key strategy for addressing student behavior and conditions for learning. -         Research, plan, develop, facilitate, and evaluate large-scale professional learning, professional networking opportunities, and implementation activities that are designed to develop, improve, and support district and charters and school staff to implement evidence based schoolwide SEL through increased access to quality networking and professional development opportunities.   -         Provide technical assistance and coaching that supports district and school leaders to build their knowledge and skills in implementing effective policies, frameworks and practices for supporting students with SEL. The EDI Center's mission is to advance the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion to create the conditions for building authentic cross-cultural communities where harm is eliminated, and every person's humanity is acknowledged and valued. In this position, you will serve as the agency lead responsible for developing and coordinating the administration of the DOJ Stop School Violence grant to statewide schools across Minnesota specifically supporting the Student, Teachers, and the School Resource Officer Program.
