The Minnesota Technology Association brought the SciTech Internship Program bill to the House this morning, bright and early! Getting to walk up the steps of the Capitol Building made it feel especially meaningful. We were joined by SciTech Alumni Andrew Thomas, who after securing an internship through Superior Managed IT was then hired fulltime and has since started his career in IT and cybersecurity. We're delighted to have helped facilitate the connection and were very grateful to Andrew for sharing his expereince with the committee in support of SciTech's request for continued funding. Thank you again to the team at Momentum Advocacy and to everyone who wrote a letter of support or emailed their representatives about the importance of continuing to fund this essential workforce resource! Here's hoping for two more years of STEM internships in Minnesota!

We brought the Minnesota Technology Association SciTech Internship Program bill before the Senate Jobs and Workforce committee today! MnTech is requesting two more years of funding so we can continue providing SciTech as a free resource to the small businesses and college STEM majors of Minnesota ✨️ Our team is so very grateful for the efforts of Momentum Advocacy, the fantastic user testimony given by Susan Allen of Monteris Medical and all the amazing letters of support we received from companies and students who've benefitted from the program!
