Company Description The Minority Women Capital Foundation strives to invest into and to empower women and traditionally disadvantages communities in the US and globally. Minority Women Capital focuses on enhancing the American and the global economies by empowering the fast-expanding population of minority women entrepreneurs and the female community in general, across all races and genders, while investing into emerging and proven fund managers, deal sponsors and entrepreneurs of black, Hispanic, Asian, indigenous and other minority or people of color descent, veterans, female entrepreneurs and fund managers, people with disabilities, and businesses and funds located in and focused on disadvantaged areas and communities. We do not discriminate and invest in both men and women across all races based on merit first, as delivering a solid return to our investors is our number one priority, but we consider impact investing and diversity to be good business as it opens up projects, possibilities, creativity and markets both in the United States and globally that traditional firms have not been able to tap into, while also empowering a whole new generations to build and to contribute to a stronger a more resilient and a more robust economy both in the US and globally. Just the combined US "people of color" markets in America is over $3.9 Trillion in buying power, and in fact is a part of a much larger global majority market that currently represent approximately eighty per cent (80%) of the world's population and women control an estimated $31.8 trillion of worldwide spending and $97 trillion or 32% of the world’s wealth and unlocking and empowering these markets will release trillions of dollars into the global economy. Wealthy women of color are known for their confidence in investing and making bold decisions. Their experiences, vision, and approach to leadership offer unique platforms for philanthropy, investments, and business operations. The fields of investment and finance are still markedly male-dominated ones: only nine percent of fund managers in the United States were women, while in banking, women comprised less than a third of senior vice president and C-suite positions and this shortage of visible role models only perpetuates the uneven dynamic between men and women, let alone women of Asian, Hispanic, African-American, indigenous and other minority descent, in the field both in the US and globally and is just as pronounced among investor financed female entrepreneurs. One Million Black Women: Closing the Wealth Gap is a Goldman Sachs initiative investing $10 billion in direct capital and $100 million in philanthropic support over the next decade to help narrow opportunity gaps Black women face across several outcomes including health, housing, education, and access to capital. Grounded in research, the initiative forges partnerships with Black women–led organizations and other groups to address the disproportionate gender and racial biases that Black women have faced for generations and that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Goldman Sachs and the Urban Institute launched the One Million Black Women Research Partnership in 2022. This learning community engaged with seven impact pillars―health care, job creation and workforce advancement, education, housing, digital connectivity, financial health, and access to capital―to guide the partnership's collaborative work.

Deploying Capital in Meaningful Ways Women investors often evaluate their portfolios in the context of their values, seeking to make tangible impacts through their investments. Many adopt a goals-based investment approach, orienting their financial decisions around specific targets such as charitable contributions or investments in their children’s and grandchildren’s futures. This approach goes beyond mere financial analysis and focuses on making investments that align with personal values. One aspect of investing with values in mind involves considering diverse-led managers or businesses. Women investors are increasingly interested in supporting companies that prioritize environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. They aim to drive impact in areas such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, wage equality, housing affordability, equitable healthcare, and accessible clean water. A trusted financial advisor can guide women investors in identifying investment opportunities that align with their values and contribute to meaningful change.

Investing in Exclusive Products and Opportunities Ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) women are increasingly seeking access to exclusive, long-term private investments that offer the potential for higher returns. These investments often compensate for their lower liquidity profile. According to a recent survey, nearly two-thirds of women clients value alternatives and unique private investment opportunities offered by their private wealth management advisors. These opportunities may include global private equity, private credit, and real estate investments. By providing access to such exclusive products, a trusted financial advisor can help women diversify their portfolios and potentially achieve superior risk-adjusted returns. Understanding the specific goals and risk appetite of women investors is crucial in identifying and recommending suitable investment opportunities.

The Future of Finance Is Female: Why Wealthy Women Are Leading the Charge The wealth management industry is undergoing a significant transformation as women take control of an unprecedented amount of assets. With the next great wealth transfer happening before our eyes, affluent women in the U.S. are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance. The shift is driven by various factors, including demographics and the increasing wealth generated by women entrepreneurs. As the landscape evolves, it is crucial for the wealth management industry to adapt and cater to the unique needs and preferences of women investors. Preserving and Growing Wealth for the Next Generation For many women, one of the primary focuses of wealth management is ensuring that their families are set up for future success. Legacy planning, which involves passing down wealth to the next generation, is often a profound accomplishment in their lifetimes. Trust and estate planning are crucial topics of interest for women investors, as they seek to understand how to preserve and grow their wealth for the benefit of their heirs. Contrary to the notion that women are more risk-averse, they are, in fact, “risk aware.” Women want to comprehend the potential outcomes and impact of different investment strategies on their overall goals. They value a holistic understanding of the range of outcomes and risks associated with their wealth management decisions. A trusted financial advisor should be able to provide comprehensive insights and guidance, helping women evaluate different strategies and make informed choices. Preparing the next generation for wealth ownership is another key area of interest for women investors. They aim to instill values beyond wealth, emphasizing the importance of leading a meaningful life and finding happiness outside of financial success. Women investors want their children to be known for their individual achievements rather than solely by their family name. A trusted financial advisor can play a pivotal role in assisting women in developing strategies to educate and empower the next generation.
