Enhancing Safety Skills: Fire Safety Refresher During Fire Prevention Week 🔥 At Minto, we're committed to the safety and well-being of our communities with continuous improvement and education through our Health & Safety programs. Timed with Fire Prevention Week, our Health & Safety team shared fire safety tips across sites in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary – reviewing emergency plans and promoting fire prevention best practices. In collaboration with local fire officials, they conducted live demonstrations on the proper use of fire extinguishers and provided valuable reminders to help ensure everyone's safety. Minto Communities Proudly Supported the Markham Fair Once Again this Year! 🎡 From October 3-6, we had an incredible time engaging with the community at the Markham Fair, one of Canada's oldest and most cherished country fairs. Established in 1844, this annual event in Markham, Ontario, showcases the best local culture and traditions with agricultural shows, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Minto Communities Canada sponsored the Old MacDonald's Barn, where children delighted in meeting farm animals up close and had an opportunity to take photos. Our dedicated Sales Team was on hand to engage with visitors and share information about our Markham communities, which include Union Village and Park & Main. The Markham Fair provided a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the local community and celebrate its vibrant spirit. Creating a Great Place to Work: Our Annual Employee Engagement Results 🙌 Hearing directly from our employees is a powerful way to increase team cohesion, retention, and overall well-being. To that end, as part of our listening strategy, we conduct our annual employee engagement survey, leveraging the Gallup Q12 survey, every 12-24 months. We are thrilled to share that our 2024 Employee Engagement Survey had an outstanding participation rate of 91% and a significant increase in our engagement score – positively contributing to building an exceptional employee experience here at Minto. Gaining the Valuable Insights to Deliver an Exceptional Employee Experience 🤝 Gathering feedback and listening to our partners and employees is critical for delivering an exceptional customer and employee experience. In recent months, our Minto Communities USA homebuilding team at Westlake in Florida, partnered with Eliant to take part in their TradeStar® Assessment - gaining insights into trust, communication, and performance from construction trade partners and team members.
