#MinutemanPress #Franchise in Queen Creek, AZ Wins Emerging #Business of the Year Award https://lnkd.in/eW39FbX5 Brian Crowe and Maribel Jaquez are the owners of the Minuteman Press franchise in Queen Creek, AZ since August of 2022. They won the Emerging Business of the Year Award from the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. Brian, Maribel, and their team were on hand to accept the award at the Chamber’s 15th Annual Business Awards Dinner that was held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at the Encanterra Country Club in Queen Creek. Brian shares: Winning the Award: “Winning the Emerging Business of the Year Award is incredibly exciting for us. It’s an honor to be recognized, especially here in Queen Creek, one of the 25 fastest-growing cities in the country, where new businesses are opening all around us. This award reflects the dedication and hard work we’ve put in over the past two years to build something that we’re really proud of. It’s even more meaningful to know that we were nominated by one of our customers, which shows the impact our commitment to quality and service has had." Community: “Queen Creek, Arizona is a rapidly growing #community that maintains a small town, family-oriented feel. It has a strong sense of community and local businesses play a big part in the community. The surrounding area is a hub for semiconductor manufacturing, software development, aerospace, and other high-tech industries. Marketing is critical for these new businesses and print is an important part of that. Being involved in the community and supporting local non-profits has helped develop great relationships with our fellow business owners. We have a network that fosters a sense of collaboration and support and has helped all of us grow.” Background: “We both have a production background so we love the operational aspect of the process. We were introduced to Minuteman Press when attending a franchise expo. We went with plans to talk to a different franchise but when comparing them to Minuteman Press, we never looked back. The family feel of the Minuteman team won us over immediately.” Support: “Support from the Minuteman Press team has been a huge benefit for us. Our Field Rep Sky Hittle and RVP Jack Panzer are incredibly responsive. On the few occasions we’ve needed support from the MPIHQ/FLEX support team, they have been great. One of the benefits of this franchise is they’re available to help when we need it but allow the autonomy of being an independent business owner.” Final Thoughts: “Owning a #familybusiness has been a very rewarding experience for us. Building something that we can all be proud of as a family makes every challenge a little easier to face. It has provided our daughter a great growth opportunity, allowing her to develop new skills, gain experience, and understand the value of hard work.” Congratulations!

Owners David and Juanita Prince have built a winning relationship with the Dorchester Town Football Club and their #apparel kit sponsor Acerbis. As a result, #MinutemanPress in Dorchester is now the primary #branding partner for Dorchester Town FC kit. David shares the progression of this relationship, from a post-pandemic sponsorship in 2021 and #printing smaller jobs to producing branded kits (football shirts and shorts with logos) in 2024. How did you get started with Dorchester Ladies FC? How did that relationship grow? “We started sponsoring the Dorchester Ladies FC following the pandemic for the 2021 season helping them with match fees. In 2022, we sponsored an away kit for the ladies. For the past few years, we have printed stickers, some paper programs, weekly game posters, and small-run club signage for the main Dorchester Football Club. These were all small jobs. In April of 2024, we were approached by one of the Dorchester Town youth teams about providing them with a branded kit. In trying to find the right logo, we were approached by the main Dorchester Town Football Club asking if we were interested in attending their youth tournament and potentially working with their kit sponsor Acerbis and becoming their branding partner. The tournament hosted over 200 teams over the May bank holiday. We met with the GM of Acerbis UK and then attended the tournament where we showcased some of our branded items. Things have progressed from there and we started working with them on more and more kits.” What was your first big order that you handled? “The first job we were asked to complete was to apply the Dorchester Town FC badge and sponsors’ logos to the First Team training kit. This was 245 items of clothing, and about 300 logos which Juanita turned around in two weeks! The next stage was the First Team home and away kits. We needed to apply various sponsors’ logos across various kit items, shirts and shorts. This added up to over 540 different logos. Subsequently, we have branded the U23s kit and have branded two youth teams, one with a full home kit and the other with training wear. We also have two more teams in the pipeline, and we are now branding over 230 Items for their youth team managers, which is another exciting and profitable piece of business that we won in late August of 2024.” What are some of the other projects you are working on today? “We are now working with Dorchester FC and their club online shop. We have just received the first order of 45 pieces of kit which we will acquire and brand. The club will then send these out to supporters in Dorchester and across the UK. Our next project is creating non-clothing items for the club shop, such as branded mugs, key rings, boot bags, coasters, umbrellas, and other items that we can find and brand for them. This is the first time for a long time that the club has had the opportunity to offer such a wide range of products and we are all excited as to where this might go.”

#MinutemanPress #Franchise in Coquitlam, B.C. Moves to New Location; President’s Club Member Steve Wilms Continues to Grow Sales https://lnkd.in/eUmxz_th Steve Wilms is the owner of the Minuteman Press franchise in Coquitlam, British Columbia since August of 2014. Steve has actually been a part of the business for 20 years, as he says, “I started as a Graphic Designer, then Manager, then Partner, and I eventually purchased the business from the previous owner.” Today, Minuteman Press in Coquitlam has a new home. Steve has moved the business to brand new facility located at 6 – 211 Schoolhouse St., Coquitlam, B.C. V3K 4X9. Steve shares, “We’d been in our previous location for almost 17 years. When we first got there, we figured there would be no way we’d ever outgrow that space, but we did! Our old space was limiting our growth. We were unable to fit new equipment that we wanted to add. Our new space is about 50% larger, with a much better production-oriented layout.” Keys to #Growth: --"The Internet Marketing Program is a no-brainer. The expertise that Minuteman Press International has gained by managing the Google Ads program in-house is invaluable; it’s arguably our number one tool for adding customers. --We are consistent with our email blasts, which builds awareness of the different products and services we offer to our existing clients. --We’ve made several acquisitions over the years; the ROI on those is unmatched.” Being a Full-Service #Print Provider: “What we produce is so much bigger than most people realize. It’s not just stationary and business cards, it’s signage, packaging, labels, apparel, swag. Traditional print is just one part of being a #marketing service provider.” Why Minuteman Press? “During my time as an employee, I saw first-hand the benefits to the Minuteman Press franchise model. The leverage that our worldwide presence gives us helps immensely with suppliers and vendors. There is a wealth of institutional knowledge that is shared at the World Expos and President’s Club meetings. When it came time to transition from employee to owner, there was no doubt that Minuteman was the right choice.” Advice for Others: “You get what you put into your business. When you’re a business owner, the success and fulfilment you get is directly tied to the effort and energy you put in. My advice is to be adaptable. Change is inevitable, especially in business. Keep an open mind and keep learning.” Congrats! Neil Macleod #canadabusiness #entrepreneur #businessowner #printing #printingbusiness Read full story at: https://lnkd.in/eUmxz_th

#MinutemanPress #Franchise Owner Josh Zeidman Joins President’s Club in Riverside, CA https://lnkd.in/eTuuNSdT Joshua Zeidman is the owner of Minuteman Press in Riverside, CA since August of 2022. Josh spent five years working for startups as a director of operations before deciding to join the Minuteman Press family. He shares, “The owner of the shop was retiring. I was attracted to Minuteman Press for their presence and their industry knowledge. I’ve never been in #printing before, so I wanted to make sure I worked with a brand that offered strong corporate support. And that’s what I got.” Josh continues, “The support from my local RVP Dan Byers (Southern California) and the entire Minuteman Press team across the board has really helped me learn the industry and run this #business. I have found that I love the #printingindustry and being an owner allows me the opportunity to service my customers and impact their own businesses in valuable ways.” Two years later, Josh is proud to join the Minuteman Press President’s Club for achieving over $1 million in gross sales for the year ending 2023. He says, “This was one of the goals I set on Day 1. It is a major achievement and came faster than I could have imagined. I love a challenge and this was my first major challenge. And now, we will set again a higher goal.” Josh shares the following keys to his growth and success in such a short time: “Be a one-stop shop – we simplify our customer’s lives --Find a way to ‘de-commoditize’ our commodity – we personalize, we uplift, we differentiate by being ourselves and by genuinely valuing our customers and their projects! --Never be satisfied – we hunt for new customers every day --Challenge the team to exceed what they think is possible – rising tides lift all ships --There are always ways to get more operationally sound – we are up almost 400% with the same number of team members!” He adds, “Success is building relationships with our customers and growing those relationships through producing a great quality product and delivering on great customer service. Success is having a happy team. We’re having fun. We’re learning new things.” Congratulations Josh! Read full story at: https://lnkd.in/eTuuNSdT

30-Year #Business Apexgraphix Converts to #MinutemanPress Franchise in Columbia, SC https://lnkd.in/eWndXPMT Apexgraphix, which has served Columbia businesses for 30 years, has been sold by retiring owner John Runy to Ken Holloway. Moving forward, Apexgraphix will operate as Minuteman Press in Columbia. All staff members have been retained and the business remains located at 1415 Gervais St., Columbia, SC 29201. On selling the business, John Runy shares, “I am now 82-years-old and decided it was simply time to retire. Ken Holloway is the perfect fit for this shop and the transition has been easy. I can assure my customers that they will get the same level of service and my employees will be treated well with Ken as the new owner of the business.” On buying the business, Ken Holloway says, “The transition could not have gone better. John Runy is 82-years-old and he is one of the sharpest, kindest people I’ve met. He has been truly invested in my success and I am humbled to carry his legacy forward. We will continue the great tradition of providing the best #customerservice in Columbia. We have retained all of the current staff of Apexgraphix and our clients are excited about the investments we are making in bringing them new products and services.” Ken Holloway has been part of the Minuteman Press franchise family since January of 2023 when he purchased his first location in Myrtle Beach. Ken shares, “I have been very pleased with my first Minuteman Press in Myrtle Beach and all of the support I have received from Dave Walton. Dave and I talk regularly and he knows I am looking to grow with Minuteman Press. He has been invested in our partnership.” For Ken, buying Apexgraphix and opening Minuteman Press in Columbia was the perfect opportunity to expand his footprint while also coming back to Columbia. He says, “My wife and I both graduated from the University of South Carolina and lived in Columbia for many years. This shop is bigger than my first location and has amazing growth potential.” Ken continues, “I have bought 12 businesses in my career. It is always about the timing and making sure you have the funds to move fast. Dave Walton understood the great potential of this location and encouraged me to move swiftly to complete the purchase.” “A business is always about the people first. I knew that with John’s character and how great the shop looked that the team was going to reflect his core values of professionalism, quality, and service. I am proud to say that they do.” -Ken Holloway “My advice to other sellers is to try it out and see if a new owner fits. Minuteman Press found the right fit for us. I felt very comfortable selling the business to Ken and working with Dave Walton and the team at Minuteman Press. I am now able to retire knowing my customers and employees are being well-served by the new ownership.” -John Runy

Welcome #MinutemanPress, Citrus Heights, CA! Van Duker passes torch after 46 years of printing in Citrus Heights https://lnkd.in/e6U2x96H With nearly five decades in the #printingbusiness behind him, Bill Van Duker has stopped the presses at All Star Printing as he turns a page to a new chapter. After running All Star Printing for decades, Van Duker is now helping fellow Citrus Heights businessman Uddhav “Gary” Giri open a Minuteman Press #franchise location at 6232 Greenback Ln. Giri is using the equipment from All Star Printing under the new name and plans to continue Van Duker’s legacy in serving the #community. “Bill’s got an incredible legacy in Citrus Heights,” Giri said, noting that his previous business was also one he took over from a retiring owner. “They’re just very honest people that just want serve the community the best way they can.” The Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce recently honored Van Duker with awards and proclamations during a Sept. 17 luncheon. The print shop also won the 2024 Best of Citrus Heights Award at a ceremony on Sept. 19 in the category of Best Printing and Design Services. The 88-year-old Van Duker said he was looking for a way to pass on the business after 46 years in printing when he started talking with Giri. “I was very concerned about the customers with whom I had a relationship for five, 10, 15, in some cases 20 years, that they would continue to be cared for,” Van Duker said. “I feel very comfortable about transitioning the business because our business is a relationship business, not a transactional business.” With a long history of doing business in Citrus Heights, Giri says the community feels like home to him. “Citrus Heights has been an incredibly good city for me,” Giri said. “I really feel like this is my own village now because most of my adult life, I’ve been doing business here.” Read full story in the Citrus Heights Sentinel: https://lnkd.in/e6U2x96H
