Mission 25 Changes Lives
About us
Mission 25 provides a pathway for recovery, prevention, and support for those at risk of displacement in Northeast Indiana. Our services are designed to provide our community residents with the tools they need to get out of their current situation and to live a healthy and successful life. Under the Mission 25 umbrella of services, we offer 4 programs: Mission 25 Shelter Services. Certified Recovery Residence. Shelter Services provides personalized and intentional programming to meet the daily needs of food, housing, and necessities while also changing detrimental cycles to help support mental, physical, recovery and spiritual well being goals. Mission 25 Supportive Housing: Supportive Housing allows 13 units to help build self-reliance and confidence. This transitional phase of recovery allows those we serve to maintain interim housing for up to two years. It is personalized to their transition and provides skills needed for personalized success. Mission 25 Recovery Engagement Center: The Mission 25 Recovery Engagement Center (REC) is a safe meeting space for those seeking recovery from addictions. A safe place to access recovery meetings, resources and recovery coaches. Mission 25 Outreach - Miami Village Community Center: MVCC provides after-school programming and therapeutic support to children in a mobile home park community in Whitley County, Indiana. Mission 25 changes lives and provides hope. We empower individuals to break free from negative patterns and achieve long-lasting positive change in their lives.

✨ MEET THE TEAM ✨ Shawn Ellis, CEO for Mission 25 Meet Shawn! Our fearless leader in the work that matters most. Shawn has been with Mission 25 for more than 15 years, all of which are included in her nearly 25 years as a nonprofit professional. ⭐️ She’s passionate about helping others through our various programs and has helped shape all of these programs to be what they are now. Her favorite part of the job? “... the ability to serve people well. To meet them in some of their most vulnerable and hopeless moments and then watch them find hope that creates healing, determination, strength, forgiveness, and a new perspective. Watching people change the trajectory of their life from the time they engage in Mission 25 programs to when they believe they are on the right path to long-term success is the most rewarding seat to be in (it takes people-watching to a whole new level). I love watching people change and our staff team rally around each adult and child throughout the process.” When she’s not serving, Shawn loves biking with her husband of 29 years, enjoying Mexican food, spending time with her son, daughter and two fur babies. ❤️🐱🍬She’s also a fan of Christian music, 80’s hits, and you can’t forget her books! Today, was the official “Topping Out” ceremony for Mission 25’s NEW building project! 💙❤️ Board members, building committee, M25 staff, funding partners, community partners and friends, and the MICHAEL KINDER & SONS, INC team dedicated to our specific project celebrated this milestone with us.🫶 Today was an emotionally filled day. We heard from a staff member (with lived experience) of what this building will mean to those who will be served in this space. 🥹 We also heard why this build is personal for our MKS project managers😭 WOW!!! After the ceremony, we all walked through the building to learn and imagine how we will serve within the new space. Lastly, we left our signatures on a beam at the front entrance ✍🏻. Such a perfect day! 🤩 #BuildingForTheFuture #OrganizationalGrowth #MentalHealth #Recovery #RecoveryMatters #Hope (Photo Credit: MKS Marketing - Nate Kreider, PMP )
