Every time we come to eat, she is waving, smiling and greeting us by name as soon as we step inside the door. She is so friendly and warm and makes us feel welcomed. We always have a nice little visit and usually end up with a hug when we leave. I wish other places had people just a fraction as nice as her. She truly seems to enjoy her job. Bert joined Our Team in June 2018 as Our Kitchen Servant's Heart Leader. He has built a team of Great People and fulfills Our Commitments to Great Food. His discipline and hard work earned him a promotion to Pit Master and the call sign of "Ironman" in May 2022. "Ironman" has a passion for training and has trained numerous Servant Heart Leaders at his home restaurant. He has also trained Our new Teammates at several new restaurant openings. His dedication to Coaching and Teaching Our Teammates and Preparing Great Food is always at a level of Excellence. We are proud to have "Ironman" on Our Team. He is one of the Shining STARS of MISSION BBQ.

Robert Langston spent 35-years serving the Washington DC community with the Park Police rising to the rank of Chief. He had a front row seat to the history of this country during the demonstrations and celebrations that frequently happen in our nation’s capital. He helped to protect citizens and presidents. But Robert actually began his life of service at the age of 17 as a volunteer with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. “Being a Chief and a volunteer at the same time was unique, but it was the volunteer experience that gave me the experience to become a good Chief,” he said.
