  • Our home office in Tampa had some special visitors this week. We welcomed seven administrators from Kansas, Tennessee, and Georgia for training. We discuss everything from the Mission Experience, and customer experience to recruitment and mentorship, to Clinical services and operations. We of course treated them to a nice dinner at Jackson's Bistro in Downtown Tampa. Administrator training is a multiday in-person training session to learn about systems and programs available that were designed to support and guide them as Mission Health newest leader. We are thrilled this exceptional individuals chose to join Mission Health's team of skilled nursing professionals. "Our employees are extraordinary, passionate, and caring professionals who take great pride in their ability to serve."

  • This month's blog continues with Valid Shifts! Work-life balance is important to us within Mission Health. We understand the importance of attending your child's sporting event or just to spend time with family. Valid Shifts has been the solution. Our teams have been working diligently to encourage employees to customize their schedules to best fit their personal needs. However, new technology and systems can be intimidating. Read our latest blog as Cody provides some insights on how you can encourage one other into trying something new like Valid Shifts. https://bit.ly/3XImhp8

We are pleased to announce our strategic changes for our Mission Management Services (MMS) and Upper Midwest (UMW) portfolios. These changes align with our strategic planning, focus on operational results, and continue to drive our Mission Core Values front and center. Mission Management Services (MMS) provides management for care communities in crisis, including skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, senior independent living and assisted living communities. Our experienced team works with states, regulators, receivers, lenders, landlords, payors, owners, and providers to stabilize operating, financial, clinical, and regulatory performance and improve asset value for communities ranging from single-site holdings to large regional portfolios. Our MMS business is becoming the go-to for our federal and state agencies to call for temporary management support. This doesn’t happen by happenstance. The leaders of MMS are driving the results and earning the reputation and admiration of those agencies, owners, and landlords. They jump in with both feet (and hands, and noses, and…) and are always ready to change on a dime when they get the text “got a minute” - not knowing what state they are going to, the critical clinical state of the operations, or the time of day that they enter and stay for days/evenings/nights/weekends on end. We talked about this business and the leaders. They are not over a region. They are running the operations of Mission Management Services. We are changing their titles to reflect the evolution of this business.   Nichole Burger, Vice President of Operations, MMS Leslie Zimmerman-Black MSN, RN Zimmerman-Black, Director of Clinical Services   Ladies, Thank you for your unrelentless passion and leading every adventure with our CARES Values.   We are also transitioning our Upper Midwest portfolio to Troy Hutchinson as the Regional Vice President leader. Troy has been instrumental in our operations, and I am excited to have him shift to his new role for this portfolio. Troy – Thank you for your unwavering commitment to performance excellence, leading with Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence and Service.
