Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Valerie Gallo, Regional Administrator of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS Region 9, and her team at our Shotwell Clinic and Mission Resource Center. It was an insightful morning discussing our impact on the lives of over 15,000 individuals in San Francisco, the challenges we face, and the incredible work our team is doing to address the medical and mental health needs of our community. We want to highlight the importance of breast cancer screening. Unfortunately, Breast cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among women around the world. Many of us have been affected or know someone affected by this disease. Our dedicated team at MNHC provides education to patients on self-exams and breast cancer screenings. Together we can aim for an equitable system that ensures access to breast health for all, regardless of the zip code of residence. Our MNHC team had the opportunity to participate in the 6th Annual NOVA 12 SF Walk to Support Breast Care Equity and Justice in the San Francisco Bay Area.
