Here’s how you can flip the script and take control of your next interview: 1. Know Why You’re a Fit (Beyond the Job Description) It’s easy to list off qualifications, but do you know how your unique experience can solve the company’s problems? Go beyond the obvious. Employers are looking for someone who “gets it”— someone who understands their challenges and can help fix them. 2. Ask the Right Questions (and Listen Intently) An interview is a two-way conversation. You’re interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. Instead of waiting until the end, weave in insightful questions as the conversation flows. Want to stand out? Ask about their vision, their challenges, and how success is measured for the role. Listening is your secret weapon here — the more you listen, the more you can tailor your responses to what they really need. 3.
