  • Nominations for the Excellence in Government Awards are due THIS MONTH, have you submitted your nomination? The Mississippi Legislature directed MSPB to establish the Excellence in Government Awards program in 2012. Each year these awards recognize “excellence and innovation in the management of administrative procedures which increase the quality of public service at the state, district, and local government levels.” A maximum of two individuals or two groups of individuals will be publicly recognized: State Government and Local/District Government. All nominations are due on August 30th!   • The Mississippi State Personnel Board (MSPB) is pleased to announce that 23 government employees representing 13 agencies across the State recently graduated from the Human Resources Certification Program. Mississippi State Personnel Board Executive Director Kelly Hardwick delivered the keynote address at the HRCP graduation ceremony.   • Mississippi State Personnel Board reposted this

    Government employees from across the State graduated from the Executive Services Certification Program yesterday. MSPB developed the Executive Services Certification Program (ESCP) for administrative professionals to continue their professional development. Participants earning the ESCP designation have completed the three levels of the ASCP curriculum and three additional levels of coursework. Billy Taylor, Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services, delivered the keynote address. Dwana F. Harvey of the North Mississippi Regional Center completed all 6 levels and was selected by her peers to address graduates on behalf of the 2024 class.
