The City of Ashland, Missouri employees participated in the 2024 Show Me Your Score Contest, a partnership by the Coalition for Roadway Safety, AAA Missouri, Cambridge Mobile Telematics, and MEM. The City of Ashland won with a score of 97.3 out of 100 points. We recently sat down with Kyle Mikel, City Administrator, to discuss his experience with the contest and what he’s been doing to help keep his employees and community safe. International Overdose Awareness Day is held on August 31 each year. The National Safety Council (NSC) reports the number of people dying from drug overdose is at an all-time high, and the main cause of these deaths is opioids.
