For our 5-year Anniversary, we will feature a conversation with Mark Muro, Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution. In 2019, Mark was one of the original writers who made the case for the U.S. Congress to assemble growth centers to spread tech innovation across America. Now, more formally known as tech hubs.  As we prepare to welcome Mark to #MKETech, here are some takeaways to expect: ➟ The power of collaboration in a tech hub region (creating a balance of innovation across America) ➟ The case for the Power Framework (a guide in organizing and governing complex place-based economic strategies and coalitions) ➟ The progress and the future of southeast Wisconsin’s tech hub (momentum through collaboration) Let's celebrate the region’s progress as a tech hub: 🕘 + 🗓️: 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22 📍 Northwestern Mutual 🔗 https://bit.ly/4ezYkXz

AI is revolutionizing businesses, making digital technologies part of the nature of a business. Nathan Lasnoski, the Chief Technology Officer at Concurrency, Inc., works to bring AI to the forefront by helping businesses decide how to apply technology to the needs of their business. As a technologist for many years at a 14-time Microsoft MVP, Lasnoski has witnessed the shifts happening in this space.   Despite the rapid change, Lasnoski believes one fundamental truth won't change, which is that our uniqueness as humans to be creative, purposeful, and intentional will never go away or be taken away by an AI platform.   🎧 Listen to Lasnoski on "In the Lab:" https://lnkd.in/ewFAfXCd   The MKE Tech Hub Coalition sponsors this podcast to foster dialogue and share valuable insights. As AI continues to grow in enterprises, businesses are looking for ways to revolutionize and leverage their data. In an "In the Lab" podcast episode, John Young shares how his work at Databricks brings technology to companies big and small. He highlights that the uniqueness of each enterprise boils down to its proprietary data.   As Young works to continue growing technology across businesses with Databricks, he has embedded roots here in Wisconsin as an MSOE alum and chairperson of the institution's Industry Advisory Committee for the Computer Science & AI Bachelor of Science program. Listen to Young on "In The Lab": https://lnkd.in/g3dtm39P This podcast is hosted by Jesse DePinto and sponsored by the MKE Tech Hub Coalition and Podcast Town. It's the people, knowledge and resources that make a community invaluable. Our #AICommunity mirrors these attributes, offering forums, news and quarterly meetings all focused on AI. Last week, we held our first AI Quarterly — where we discussed "Tech Skills in the Era of AI," a keynote led by our CEO Kathy Henrich. The gathering even offered an opportunity for guests to create an AI upskilling map. Thank you to our panelists for sharing their journeys in tech, including Clare H., of Northwestern Mutual + Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI), Ben Paulson, of Milwaukee School of Engineering, Raven Stevenson, of Molson Coors Beverage Company and Daniel Cleary, of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee + NMDSI. Also, we'd like to extend our gratitude to Northwestern Mutual for serving as our venue host. To keep in the know, subscribe to our AI Community:https://lnkd.in/dXpEhV4E

Wish Born brought his startup idea, "Spark," to our FOR-M incubator in the fall of 2023. Today, he has a beta version launched.    ⚡️"Spark" is an app with different personas to help cater to your AI needs, helping people take their ideas and turn them into a business. Users can tell Sparky, one of the AI companions, what they want to solve or build, and the AI will assist in solving the problem and filling in any gaps. Regardless of what “hat” you wear – engineer, technologist, etc., Sparky will use prompt engineering and capture memories of prior conversations/materials to build a more robust system catered to your use case, therefore providing more valuable outputs.   The FOR-M incubator is a free program to guide you into the tech startup space. Applications are open for founders looking to take the next step.   🖥️ Apply by Friday, September 6: https://lnkd.in/gdUkdBfP
