On October 30, 2024, we celebrated the groundbreaking of RailPort Logistics Mobile, which is a major milestone for Mobile County, made possible by the dedicated investments of Scannell Properties and CSX. District 2 Commissioner Connie Hudson attended and shared remarks, highlighting this significant development as a testament to the strength of public-private partnerships that bolster our local economy. We were honored to welcome esteemed guests Governor Kay Ivey and Congressman Barry Moore, whose continued support helps make Mobile County a great place to live, work, play, and visit. With this site's designation as a Platinum CSX Select Site location—one of the highest certifications, ensuring optimal access to rail, highways, utilities, and a strong workforce—Mobile County is poised for continued growth. Thank you to everyone who played a role in this incredible achievement! Today's groundbreaking is just the beginning, and we look forward to this project's positive impact on our community.
