MTEA-Federal Solutions Group is proud to be owned by the Modoc Nation of Miami, Oklahoma, a federally recognized Native American tribe by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Currently, the Modoc Nation is making meaningful investments in their Traditional Homelands, leading to numerous grants and innovative partnerships as illustrated in this video from their valuable partner Blue Forest.
Since time immemorial, the Modoc people lived abundantly across lands now known as Southern Oregon and Northern California. In 2021, Modoc Nation launched the Homelands Program to reacquire and restore ancestral lands. They founded the Modoc Ranch and purchased approximately 4,000 acres in Siskiyou and Modoc counties. Through their efforts, the landscape has already experienced significant improvements. Last month, Blue Forest had the opportunity to visit our friends at the Modoc Ranch and learn more about their vision for ecosystem restoration and ways to support their work moving forward. Learn more about how the Modoc Nation Homelands Program is healing homelands and community in the following film and blog by Blue Forest's Indigenous Partnerships Manager Saraya Hamidi and Project Development Manager, Kelsee Taylor. https://lnkd.in/g2E7Xb5K #landback #indigenous

🌟Employee Spotlight: Oliver Stephen, Software Developer at Red Cedar TG 🌟 Meet Oliver Stephen, a passionate Software Developer who brings both talent and a love for continuous learning to Red Cedar TG. Growing up in a family of Software Developers, Oliver found his true calling in college and has been thriving in the field ever since. Reflecting on his journey, Oliver shares, "IT and coding have always been around me, but it wasn't until a logic class in my sophomore year of college that I truly discovered my passion for it. My dad, also a Software Developer, has been my biggest inspiration." At Red Cedar TG, Oliver plays a key role on the Consolidated Architecture Tool Suite (CATS) team, where a typical day involves collaborating with fellow developers to tackle new challenges. What stands out most for Oliver at Red Cedar TG is the supportive culture. "Everyone is super helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure you are doing well," he notes. This nurturing environment extends to professional development with opportunities for development. “Red Cedar TG has helped me grow professionally by sending me to classes to help with coding and to [conferences] like ‘dev up 2024’ so I can grow my skills.” One of Oliver's favorite aspects of his job is the learning opportunities: "I enjoy working with other developers and learning different things from them." His drive to learn and grow professionally is evident, as he aspires to become a Senior Software Developer. Oliver's advice for aspiring developers? "Don't be scared to ask for help when you need it." Outside of work, Oliver enjoys playing basketball, a sport he played in college, and spending time outdoors with friends. His dedication and positive attitude make him a valued member of the Red Cedar TG team. Thank you, Oliver, for your commitment to excellence and your contributions to our team. We look forward to seeing your continued growth and success! #RedCedarTG #employeespotlight #techexcellence #softwaredevelopment #servicedelivery #development
