Last year, Mohawk's Yarn Division introduced something new: the Tip Top Shop Challenge. Some of the most important tasks at our yarn facilities are done in the maintenance shops, and the yarn division challenged these facilities to keep their areas extra safe for everyone at the facility. Congratulations to Phelps Road (Dalton, GA) for taking home the first-ever trophy in Q2 and keeping it in Q3, and to Lavender (Rome, GA) for bringing home the Q4 trophy. 🏆 👏

We are excited to announce that the third annual Dalton-Whitfield Latino Leadership Institute cohort has started! This program is a collaboration between the Latin American Association and the University of Georgia's J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development! The cohort features rising Latino leaders in our Northwest Georgia community and helps build participants' leadership skills and community knowledge. We're looking forward to seeing what they will accomplish this spring! 👏

“During my junior year at Auburn University, I needed to complete an internship for my degree in Supply Chain Management. I applied for a summer internship at Mohawk, initially drawn to the company's name without knowing much about its operations. After my acceptance, I began my three-month internship in the Home Department in Sugar Valley, working with the Global Sourcing team. After completing my summer project and the internship, the team recognized the importance of my contributions and offered me a role to continue working remotely throughout my senior year. After graduating in May of 2023 from Auburn, I joined the Indirect Sourcing team in Calhoun, where I manage strategies and various optimization projects. Mohawk was proud to sponsor Dalton Day at the Georgia State Capitol last week. Each person in attendance received a rug that we manufactured at one of our Dalton facilities, and the design features a mural painted by local artist Mayelli Meza while attending Dalton Day in 2023.
