As a proud partner of Susan G. Komen for over 23 years, we understand ending breast cancer needs all of us. For the past 10 years, our Residential team has supported Komen at each of their Susan G. Komen 3-Day events, and this year, and this year, Mohawk will team up with local retail partners to hand out over 6,200 pieces of SmartCushion to the dedicated walkers. In addition to supporting through 3-Day events each year, we raise funds through our Decorate for the Cure and Specify for a Cure programs, where proceeds from the sales of eligible flooring products help the nonprofit carry out its mission. Mohawk is proud to continue our partnership with Susan G. Komen to 'Cushion the Fight' against breast cancer. 🩷

We recently held our annual golf tournament, benefitting Habitat for Humanity of Gordon County. This year, our banks, insurance, and transportation partners came together to raise over $100,000 to help build a Habitat home for a family in Calhoun, GA. Money raised from last year’s event helped build two homes that will be ready just in time for the holidays. Mohawk understands the importance of access to quality, affordable housing, and, as a part of the Gordon County community, we are proud to partner with Habitat of Gordon County to help deserving local families fulfill their dream of homeownership.

A few weeks ago, we hosted our 2nd Annual Truck Driving Championship. Drivers competed in various events to take home the championship trophy and bragging rights for the best of the best! Last week, Mohawk team members participated in United Way of Gordon County's 31st Annual Betty Butler Memorial Unity Run. 👟 Our team showed up and showed out, including 6 team members who placed in their age divisions! Great job, team. Thank you for supporting United Way! 🤍

Check out our latest Work-Based Learning feature! 👋 Nathan is a local student from Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, GA, learning business process automation for Mohawk’s Customer Experience Team! His manager, Mike, says he is a quick learner and has completed several projects. His current project involves querying business data and alerting teams when certain types of order cancellations occur. The skills Nathan is learning align with software development and business intelligence careers, which will be in demand for years to come. Mohawk is excited to partner with local schools for WBL roles, offering students opportunities to grow as they finish school and plan for their future!

More With Mohawk on the west coast! Our new Portland, Or. facility opens this month, providing closer, faster pickup and delivery service for customers in Oregon, Washington, and Western Idaho. Then in November, we will begin distribution from a brand-new facility in Sacramento (previously operating out of Fremont, Ca.) which will expand both the geography and fleet for that region and bring us closer to our customer base.
