Welcome Mike Lord, Athletic Director and Associate Principal. Mike Lord is an experienced coach and teacher with skills to enhance student learning, facilitate school improvement and manage programs and departments. He stood out in the hiring process as someone who brings extensive experience and results. He values engagement and collaboration and understands how athletics and co-curricular activities positively impact students and extend the classroom. The search committee included teachers, support staff, Molalla Youth Sports leadership, Orange and Black Booster board members and administrators from the high school and district. “I’m excited for the energy, clarity and collaborative spirit that Mr. Lord will bring to our school and community,” said Dr. Tony Mann, Superintendent. “I am looking forward to working together with parents, coaches, athletes, students and community to provide the best education and athletic program possible for our kids so that traits such as teamwork, moral integrity and responsibility are instilled in our young people,” shared Mike Lord. Mike Lord has taught social studies  at Oregon City High School since 2011.  In addition, he has coached; served as an ASB advisor; and  coordinated activities, leadership and athletics. He holds degrees from Linfield College and Walden University and did his administrator licensure preparation at Lewis and Clark College, Concordia and University of Oregon. #molallaproud #molallastrong #orangeandblackboosters

Middle School Replacement Update 👌Thank you voters for approving the measure! 👍Thursday night the Board accepted the certified election results and authorized the sale of general obligation bonds, the proceeds from which will pay for the project at Molalla River Middle school. 💵OSCIM (AWESOME) grant was received for the project. This provides $6million in funds. More on this at: https://lnkd.in/gaRkFrzk 📅The RFP for the project manager is open (due July 3) and a mandatory bidder meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 24 at 2pm. https://lnkd.in/gKBFhgDn ✅The Bond Oversight Committee application is open. This citizen committee will review plans, schedule and expenditures for the project. July 18 application deadline: https://lnkd.in/g7nkqj7W 🏫The replacement middle school will open by the fall of 2027. ⏲️The bond sale is estimated to occur in August and close in early September. General obligation bonds are available via the bond market to institutional investors. The retail sales (for individuals) partner will be Charles Schwab.

Clackamas County has certified the Bond Election WIN!!!! This means our students will be attending a replacement middle school by the Fall of 2027. Thank you to the voters of the Molalla River Schools. The next steps in the project include: 1. Hiring a project manager, 2. Preparing to sell bonds this fall, and 3.
