Compartiendo experiencias y conocimiento que inspiran el futuro de la ingeniería en Perú Del 7 al 9 de agosto, la ciudad de Arequipa, Perú, acogió el "I Congreso Internacional de Ingeniería Metalúrgica", un evento organizado por el Consejo Departamental de Arequipa del Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú (CIP) y la Universidad Nacional de San Agustín (UNSA). Este congreso, que reunió a más de 600 asistentes, marcó un hito importante: las Bodas de Oro de la Escuela Profesional de Ingeniería Metalúrgica (EPIM). Durante estos días, destacadas figuras de nuestra industria compartieron conocimientos y experiencias que enriquecieron a todos los asistentes. We are excited to share that Molycop will be actively participating in the 7th IFAC Workshop on Mining, Mineral, and Metal Processing (MMM), taking place from September 4th to 6th, 2024, in Brisbane. This prestigious event, hosted at The University of Queensland’s Customs House, brings together industry leaders, researchers, and professionals to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the mining and mineral processing sectors. Our Advanced Process Control Manager, Kobus Oosthuizen, will be presenting his groundbreaking work titled "Non-linear Model Predictive Control to Improve the Mineralogical Efficiency of Flotation Circuits" on September 5th at 11am. This presentation will delve into how innovative control strategies can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of flotation processes, a critical component in mineral processing. Our VP of Technology, Daniel Van der Spuy, will also be attending the conference and is available for discussions.
