About us
How does one build and maintain a solid partnership, team, or business? It takes self-awareness, confidence, and skilled communication. All things we rarely, if ever, are taught how to do. Especially when it's as important as the relationship between an Executive and their Assistant. The Executive + Assistant partnership is a partnership like no other. And, it should be treated as such. It’s different than any other relationship at work. But how are we supposed to know what to do? Executives are rarely, if ever, formally taught how to hire, train, or prosper from an Assistant, at any level in their careers. Assistants are rarely, if ever, formally taught how to quickly adapt to a new Executive’s entire workflow, ensuring success on both sides. With nearly a decade as the Executive Assistant, Producer, and “Chief of Simon Sinek,” New York Times Best-Selling author and TED celebrity, I learned the power of active communication, empathetic leadership, and taking ownership of oneself. I learned how this partnership worked. I learned the value of communication. I learned how to be limitless. Now I can help you do the same.

AI is transforming business in ways we couldn’t have imagined even just a few years ago. It’s exciting, yes—but it’s also raising the stakes for leaders, and Assistants, everywhere. I’ve seen firsthand how the pressure to keep up with new tech can create anxiety within teams. I’ve also seen how new tech can be overused and abused. This is why upskilling and reskilling are no longer optional—they’re required. AI isn’t going anywhere, and the pressure to adapt will only grow. The real question is: will you help your team evolve or let them fall behind?

Let’s be real—your work experience section isn’t a list of past jobs; it’s the story of your career. It shows potential employers where you came from, what you’ve achieved, and where you’re headed. In Part 3 of my LinkedIn Profile Revamp series, I’m diving into the work experience section. Highlight key roles by adding more than just your title and two generic bullet points from the job description you had from six years ago. Explain the type of work YOU did for YOUR company. If I need someone with heavy event planning skills, I want to know if you’ve planned four galas, three board meetings, and a 4-day conference…or if you’ve planned two company picnics. Neither is better or worse, just different. Also, make sure you detail your wins with quantifiable data when possible. Be specific. Use action verbs and add numbers—“increased sales by 20%,” “cut costs by 15%.” Make your experience tangible.

2024 is all about balance, and let me tell you—it’s not easy right now. With constant economic shifts and geopolitical uncertainties (don’t get me started), being an executive isn’t just about knowing things. It’s about being adaptable, agile, and able to pivot when the ground beneath you moves. Randstad nailed it: “The real challenge right now is finding leaders who can balance growth and profit margins in this unpredictable landscape. It’s not just about leading—it’s about evolving with the times.” If you’re leading, it’s time to sharpen your adaptability. And if you’re hiring? Don’t just look for someone who can manage—find someone who’s ready to grow alongside the changing world. The stakes are high. The opportunities? Even higher. #Leadership #ExecutiveSearch #BusinessStrategy #2024Trends #RandstadInsights

Let’s cut to the core of giving negative feedback—because it’s not always about what you say, but how you say it. When you need to address an issue, it’s important to be clear, empathetic, and direct. 1. Show empathy: Acknowledge how the feedback might be received. It’s not just about performance—it’s about people. 2. Be specific: Focus on what behaviors or actions need to change and why. Be specific to avoid ambiguity and ensure the feedback is actionable. 3. Explain the impact of non-compliance: Make sure the person understands the broader consequences, not to create fear, but to highlight the importance. Delivering feedback with these principles in mind helps create clarity and fosters real improvement. #FeedbackSkills #LeadershipDevelopment #EffectiveCommunication #ProfessionalGrowth

I recently had the pleasure of joining @Heneka Watkis-Porter on The Entrepreneurial You podcast, where we discussed the vital role of emotional intelligence and human development in driving business transformation. Yes, one of my favorite topics. In today’s fast-paced world, understanding our strengths and areas for growth is the key to personal success and empowering our teams to thrive. Leaders can leverage their emotional intelligence for greater organizational impact. We are all, in fact, human. And we all, in fact, have emotions.
