October is Global Diversity Month, and at RWJBarnabas Health, we’re committed to celebrating diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in everything we do. This month, join us in the Cultural Immersion Exercise – step outside your comfort zone and explore a new culture through festivals, films, music or cuisine. Reflect on what you’ve learned and how it’s shifted your understanding of cultural differences. Together, we can deepen our empathy and strengthen our connections. How will you embrace diversity this month? #GlobalDiversityMonth #LetsBeHealthyTogether #HealthEquity

Today, RWJBarnabas Health experienced an unexpected global Microsoft outage that, if not managed aggressively and effectively, could have caused significant disruption to the health system. While we continue to work through technical issues, normal operations have resumed across the system. The ingenuity and teamwork demonstrated by RWJBarnabas Health’s workforce was exemplary. Led by the system’s Information Technology Department and Office of Emergency Management, their tireless efforts to resolve issues quickly and efficiently were critical in maintaining patient safety during a time of uncertainty. We thank our patients and community members for their patience and support, and commend our employees for their unwavering dedication and commitment. #LetsBeHealthyTogether
